Everything you have said is nothing but weasel words to avoid stating clearly and explicitly that you support Israel's existence as a nation.

Except when I say I also clearly and explicitly support the existence of Palestine your head explodes.

I can only assume you utterly reject a two state solution. Would you be happier if they were simply exterminated?

I support Israel's existence as a nation.

Say the same for Palestine and everything else is moot.

Of course I support their right to exist as a nation.

It is not me that rejects a two-state solution; it is the Arabs and the Palestinians who do that.

They had their chance and have chosen to squander it on war and terrorism for the last 90 years.

There are plenty of Israelis who also reject it.

You still support their right to a state though so that's encouraging.

Maybe in another 90 years.

We will see. At this rate they will have nothing left.

They'll always have the same need for a nation as the people who displaced them.

I clearly want both Israelis and Palestinians to exist peacefully alongside one another.

I do not support either of them killing one another while understanding why they do.

They hate each others guts and are just like you in the sense they refuse to put one another in each other's shoes.

I believe that you are in favour of peace.

Like many people, I also used to believe that "it takes 2 to tango" and the jews are partly to blame for the violence.

Then:

I compared the constitution of Israel and Hamas.

I thought about how Jews and Palestinians live peacefully in Israel.

I saw how Israel made peace with Arab neighbors, including Jordan, essentially a Palestinian state.

I read about all the peace offers.

I thought about all the 20 year old Israelis walking around the West Bank with machine guns.

Clearly the vast majority of israelis want peace.

Don't try telling that to the 170 or so Palestinians who were killed and hundreds more arrested in the months leading up to Oct 7. Palestinians are still being killed and thrown out of their homes at gunpoint in the Westbank - 500 have been killed since Oct 7. Good thing those 20 year old Israelis walking around with machine guns want peace or who knows how many more dead Palestinians there might be.

Sure I am, I just don't believe we'll ever see it in our lifetime. Maybe in my grandkids lives but not without a massive international peacekeeping effort and enforced separation of the two sides for at least several decades.

Otherwise there is simply way too much hate on both sides to ever expect them to settle their differences peacefully on their own.

Further to that though and what'll likely blunt any talk of peacekeeping is the political fighting over the ME and worse, the picking of one side over the other.

Sadly, you may not be wrong about the prospects of peace in the near term, however you are dead wrong about claiming that Israelis hate Palestinians.  Fact: there are 2 million Palestinians living peacefully in Israel.  This is proof that Israelis and Palestinians can live peacefully, they have been doing it for decades.

I've pointed out Israeli Palestinians and that Jews and Arabs even marry and have kids when people insist all Arabs and Palestinians want to do is exterminate Jews. Of course coexistence is possible but to say it's entirely rosy however for Palestinians in Israel is stretching things and probably unsustainable given most are marginalized 2nd class citizens facing;

AI Overview

Palestinians in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) experience significant disparities in their standard of living compared to Jewish Israelis, facing systemic discrimination and economic inequality, including higher poverty rates, limited access to resources, and restrictions on movement and basic services

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Palestinians in Israel:
  • Economic Inequality:
A significant portion of Palestinian-Israeli citizens live below the poverty line, with rates much higher than those of Jewish citizens.

  • Discrimination:
Palestinians face discrimination in housing, education, and employment, with limited access to resources and opportunities.

  • Land Confiscation:
Israeli authorities have confiscated Palestinian land, further exacerbating economic inequality and restricting access to resources.

  • Housing Shortages:
Palestinians in Israel experience housing shortages due to Israeli authorities investing primarily in non-Palestinian neighborhoods, according to Adalah.

  • Education:
Poorly funded schools in Palestinian localities contribute to lower levels of education and reduced employment prospects compared to Israeli Jews.

How many Jews lived in Gaza under Hamas?

Lets face reality here. If Palestinians had the military capacity Israel does and Israel did not have what they do... The Arabs/Palestinians would have killed every last one of them or driven them into the sea.

None I suspect. Let me know otherwise.

That's why I keep saying the two sides will need to be kept seperate for at least a couple of generations.

Let's face another reality here. There may well come a day when Israel won't have the military capacity it now has. Then what? In a forever war this should be a long term strategic concern don't you think?

Peace comes after you destroy your enemy and force them into submission.

Yeah well...after nearly a 100 years of trying how's that working out for Israel?

Even with dispossession and oppression it's just not panning out.

They have not ever tried. Due to international pressure, they always stop short.

It is working out pretty well in the West Bank at the moment, but once they get finished with Hamas in Gaza, we will see.

Yes, I despise terrorist scum.

Separating them is not enough. With Hamas in control an entire generation of people have been brainwashed into hating Israel now.
