Economy of Gaza?

Here is a 10 year old assessment of the economy of Gaza

Until the current war, I don't think anything changed.   Essentially this place (and all of Palestine) lived on handouts from other countries as it produced next to nothing.  The world simply paid the residents to produce more residents and then shelled out billions a year to house, feed and service them.   They were a prime target for Iran to control, as they did, but what is the path forward to make this place truly sustainable????

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any appetite for change, as in cutting off funding to Gaza. They have no incentive to develop their economy as long as they get funded by the rest of the world. All they will keep doing is making babies, rockets, bombs, tunnels, and Hamas leaders will continue to get filthy rich.

You need to change the regimes in Iran, Qatar and wherever else it is that Hamas leaders do their banking.

You could try exterminating Palestinians and create a 150 km cordon sanitaire around Israel, maybe that would work. What do you think?

Trump will be tougher on Iran. He won't coddle them like Obama and Biden did.

I don't want Palestinians exterminated. That's a pretty ominous term to use although it is kind of what Hamas wants to do with Israel. I don't shed any tears when the IDF takes out Hamas fighters.

As I have stated before, the status quo with Israel and Gaza does not work. I don't want Palestinians over in the West either because of the baggage they bring.

I have zero concerns about Jews, Israelis who want to come and live in Canada. They won't be committing hate crimes against Muslims.
