$40B for USAID is <1% of the Federal budget. US Generals have said it's a lot cheaper than bullets.

How is 'millions of dollars for trans shows" or whatever "cheaper than bullets"?

Was a war over trans-rights somehow averted by USAID?

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Has USAID been funding that kind of agenda in any Muslim countries?

Why are you asking me?

Because if you are so concerned about trans rights outside of the US, don't you think USAID would have been funding that cause in those countries which typically really  frown on those people?

Or was USAID even more afraid of offending Islam?

Maybe they believe Muslims are a lost cause. AKA, they will just burn the comic books.

Anyway, I am not an expert like those at USAID, so I guess you'll never know the answer.

Just burning comic books like that could be considered an extremely mild response by Muslims based on how many of them reacted to certain things in the past.

I have to wonder how any American could be opposed to auditing and cutting what is clearly wasteful spending.

You OBVIOUSLY are not an expert on ^this issue, so why do you believe YOU KNOW what is "clearly wasteful spending"?

Do you even understand what USAID's mission is?

Sensible people would not ASSume they know more than EXPERTS.

For instance you're actually suggesting that selling trans to Muslims might be a productive effort while ASSuming that it's not being done.

Well, you can be sure Putin and autocrats around the world are cheering the dissolution of USAID.

They are in fact exploiting the chaos Trump overall is creating.

One of the biggest cheerleaders of the effort has been Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a longtime Trump ally who has for years waged his own campaign against nongovernmental organizations and independent media, particularly targeting those that receive U.S. funding. On social media and on state radio last week, the Hungarian strongman celebrated Trump’s gutting of USAID and claimed that the agency had backed organizations that wanted to topple his government.

Putin kicked USAID out of Russia in 2012 for promoting groups that promoted democracy and human rights.

The US is giving up its leadership role in the world as the defender of democracy, which seems to coincide with turning its back on democracy at home.
