Chris Wright backs aggressive build-out of the US power grid

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said, “You have said before this committee and in other places that climate change is real. Is that correct?”

“Absolutely, senator,” Wright replied.

just saying...

of course the bad news is that Trump is poised to reinvigorate coal... even when renewable and low carbon has essentially knee-capped it.  But the die has been cut... big industry has been making money with renewable energy, the technology is advancing and challenging the status quo.

sounds to me like they might be thinking of selling the dirty stuff to other countries to get rid of it.

The underlying dishonesty to this is whole "climate change is real" is evident here.

Of course climate change is real. The climate has been changing since the known existence of a climate.

The dishonesty is conflating that with the extreme left-wing climate change alarmism.

Maybe Trump is seeking retribution against fossil fuels cause the industry didn't pay his piper.

You didn't even read the article.

I swear, some of you will just say whatever random garbage you feel like and have no care in the world for how accurate it is.

That is how dishonest you are.

Duh.

The overarching truth, according to the vast VAST majority of scientists, is that human beings are causing the climate to warm more rapidly than our biosphere and economy can adapt to.

What's alarming is how badly the vast VAST majority of governments are dealing with that. That's the crisis.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Why are you saying duh to me?

I am the the id1ot who thinks that just because someone says climate change is real, that must mean the believe all the leftist phony alarmism.

Sarcastically praising you for realizing the climate changes. Good for you.

No, you're the id1ot who thinks conflating ordinary climate change with anthropogenic climate change cleverly dismisses the concern.

I told you to go check the IPCC timelines yourself because there's no way you'll ever going take my word for it.

Nope. You are the ones who use the generic "climate change" like this so you can play these dumb games.

Just say you are a liar. We both know that is the case.

Except I'm the one calling out your not so clever use of the generic term climate change and I'm using the more specific anthropogenic climate change.

Notice too how you're using the generic You are the ones as opposed to the more specific you are the one when addressing me.

You should go fùck yourself until you can actually prove to that's the case.

Except the generic term is exactly what was being used here in the thread title and the article shared...

How are you this stupid?

I'm not, I can understand immediately what the term means given the context it was written in.

Stripping it of context and attempting to use it as a gotcha is really typical of you people. You figure your being original or something? LMAO.

Yeah, that was my point here. Too bad you are too dumb to get that.

Why does almost every interaction with you have to end your petty stupid BS like this?

Wright was clearly talking about AGW

Quote

In his testimony Wednesday, Wright acknowledged that burning hydrocarbons has increased heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere. Wright told senators that (unlike Trump) he does not challenge the reality of climate change.

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said, “You have said before this committee and in other places that climate change is real. Is that correct?”

“Absolutely, senator,” Wright replied.
