The Vikings blew it. Sam Donald had his worst game of his career, when the chips were down. Overthrowing receivers, and not scoring in the red zone. The Vikings could have led 24-10 at the half, and put the game away early in the 3rd Q. However, it was not to be, and the Lions managed to break through the Vikings D. Quote

I like those summaries, but they don't show every block. So there were lots of examples where Donald would throw it deep and they'd move it to like almost the end zone. Then the clip continues with Detroit having the ball. I guess they got stopped a lot. That's the thing about these Juggernaut teams who haven't been in the playoffs. The mental aspect hasn't really hit them. Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner

They were stopped four times in the red zone, and turned the ball over with no points, after gambling on 4th down. It could have been 24-10. Then the Lions gained the momentum, and the defense was exposed. I don't think that would have happened if the QB did not have his worst game ever. 6 minutes ago, Michael Hardner said: That's the thing about these Juggernaut teams who haven't been in the playoffs. Yes, Goff was the QB of the Rams when they won the NFC championship game against the New orleans saint. This was the one with the absolutely terrible non-called Defensive PI. Quote
NAME REMOVED Posted January 10 Author Report Posted January 10 (edited) The NFL has such a horrible playoff format. There is no way a 14 win Vikings team should have to travel on the road, and play an inferior Rams ream at 10-7. It's well known that people from Arizona hate LA sports teams. So at least the Vikings will be the home team on Monday. Edited January 10 by DUI_Offender Quote

NAME REMOVED Posted January 14 Author Report Posted January 14 It's official. Sam Darnold has been exposed as a piece of garbage, who is phony. He should never play for the VIkings again, and build the team around JJ McCarthy. Quote
NAME REMOVED Posted January 14 Author Report Posted January 14 It's official. Sam Darnold is garbage. 4 sacks, two turnovers. Holds the ball far too long. Release him. He is a glorified backup QB. Quote

The 15 win curse continues. What an incredible game though. Individual playmaking on both sides was A treat for the eyes, and Daniels is the most incredible rookie I have ever seen. From his first game he played with unknowable confidence. A phenomenon. Goff "picked" the wrong time to throw picks. And the Detroit coach's penchant for cleverness din him in in, when a non-quarterback threw another interception when they were down. A game we'll be talking about for a long time. Poor Detroit. Washington is an electric team, riding a wave of momentum. 1 Quote

impartialobserver Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 Not to be sour grapes but there were two calls that the refs whiffed on. its not a matter of judgment.. they simply were wrong. The fourth down call when Buffalo was leading 22-21 and the pass play immediately preceding that. A simple replay shows that Knox was short of the first down by about 6 inches not a yard. on the 4th down play.. replay shows that Allen crossed the first down marker by roughly 3 inches. 1 1 Quote

So... you are being sour grapes. Yes, this is 100% a matter of judgment. First, the referees are not spending several days after a play reviewing every camera angle possible to make a call. Second, I have yet to see any camera angles that actually show the ball, let alone the ball clearly crossing the line. The referees are tracking from the sideline and they are both looking at either the backs of Cheifs players or Allen's back. Almost all of the camera angles of this on replay are the same thing. At worst, it was a questionable call, hardly definitive. Even then, most games have missed or questionable calls, teams have to play better football and not rely on a 4th down QB run they had already been repeatedly stuffed on or close to it. You want to start reviewing the tape and nit picking, there are any number of holds missed, PI, or other fouls on both teams. Quote

Correction.. it was Dalton Kincaid and upon review... he was short of the first down by half of a football not over 1 yard. Get that one right.. and it changes the 4th down call. I guess it depends on the camera angle but on two of them it was abundantly clear.. even one of the judges signaled a first down. As to what Buffalo can do going forth, I would say that they need an upgrade at LG, DT, and CB. Not a long list but could help them slay the beast finally. Quote

I think I have seen that replay too, and they are not going off where the ball lands, but where it appears his knees are down. Balls are spotted where a player is down, not where they end up placing the ball on the ground. Also, if it was so clear and obvious, coaches have a challenge flag. They have an entire team of folks who watch these things and feed the coach information on if they should challenge the spot of the ball. Since they were driving, they didn't even have to hurry up, they had time to challenge if they wanted to. Edited February 3 by User Quote

Ummm.. the refs missed it. put this in (dalton kincaid 3rd down afc championship game ) in you tube and you should come up on a video titled "Referees missed two first down calls in Bills AFC Championship loss to Chiefs, a breakdown".. The video shows that both spots were incorrect. Quote
