There was a lot of talk about how Russia had expanded under Obama and how having another weak, stupid president would just cost Ukraine again. TBH, at that time I hadn't gotten fully up to speed on why the original annexation had happened. I thought that Putin was just in conquest mode - which a lot of leftards still believe to this day - I didn't realize that Russia was just shoring up their western front against NATO aggression. War in Ukraine was talked about in 2020 election threads as well. That's the genesis of it on this site. It was evident that it was going to happen, we're just isolated from the reasons for it, living behind our own propaganda wall, which even Fox News is a part of.
