It is a weapon, and it is part of warfare...it might be repulsive to you...but lets think about this for a second...lets go back to Somalia when most of the country was days away from death due to starvation, what did the globe do for them...it did the bare minimum, and if it was not for NGO and those TV commercials begging for money this would have been a crises of all crises... so don't cry the Palestinians are starving becasue it is false news... No it is not my kind of mission....Terrorist don't have rules to follow, Soldiers have books upon books of rules of what it can do and what it can't do....it is a one sided war, despite of the advantage soldiers have in numbers and equipment...it is not enough One could fill a book at all the failed mission with this profile... Geneva convention says, all reasonable measures have to be taken to reduce civilian casualties...key words here are "reasonable" and "reduce"... if they want to stay it is at their own peril, what you fail to grasp is war is not fought in a sterile environment...where being a civilian gives you a red cape, that is bullet proof...War is not like that... most people that decide to stay are not going to be running around the battlefield....those that are well, they are going to be exposed to fires from small arms to aircraft bombs...it does not make them a target, but when the bad guys wear no uniform or markings it makes it even more difficult to tell who is who and accident do happen......Murphy law rules in this situation... Civilians pay the highest price in ALL conflicts...no way to change that, it has been this way since the first man clubbed another...now empting the area, sounds like a reasonable thing to do, when compared to just dropping bombs on top of everyone... If you have a problem with all the civilians dying, then by all means, you should be on here condemning Hamas and demanding their surrender instead of propping them up and defending them. Quote

THEY are no legitimate targets...one can not just target them becasue they are there, that being said it is reasonable to ask them to leave those that do not leave and those that are accidentally killed would be collateral damage...
