gatomontes99 Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 Half those policies are policies Trump proposed. She's mimicking his opportunity zones and his child tax credit. 1 Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. If all else fails, just be angry.

gatomontes99 Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 I will say this is a debate that was a bit of a draw. Neither candidate really landed anything that memorable for anyone outside of those that are politically attuned. Trump got in a good point about Harris attempting to negotiate before the Russia/Ukraine war. But it wasn't puffy, it probably didn't stick. She made a few unremarkable points. But neither got in that "I don't know what he said and I dont think he does eother" moment. Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. I thought Trump did a good job of drawing a contrast between the two disastrous wars and a disastrous pull out in Afghanistan. Quote

Base will applaud that. His base will not care a bit and will think that snarky remarks and shouting constitute a win (as they always do). Independents will prefer Harris. Easy A. No surprises. Quote
CdnFox Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 I haven't had a chance to watch it yet unfortuantely, just caught like 5 mins. But the 5 mins i caught seemed to perfectly reflect what i'm seeing from various comments and news sites. No winner, harris did less poorly than trump, trump had a bad night but not disastrously so or anything, a lot of people saying that they're unhappy with both of them. Trump doesn't like to 'practice' for debates and unfortunately that can lead to falling off track and off message and it sounds like that's what happened this time. There's no doubt that the moderators helped harris tho. Several examples have been given and it was pretty obvious.
