American, as Western societies in general played with cult culture for some time now. Religious, pop, lifestyle, fast enrichment schemes, you name it. A combination of something deep in the human nature and the phenomenon of mass communications multiplied its effects many times over and they spread lightning fast.

That seems to be fine while the cults were kept out of public politics. But not anymore: political cults are here and they are the reality.

One of the main parties openly gave in to a little less than an authoritarian personality cult. The cannot control its Idol; they cannot and wouldnt' hold him to account. They have no principles; integrity; stamina and will left to do so. The transformation is complete: we have before us an accomplished authoritarian personality cult, with minimal if any regard and attachment to democracy.

The other party hasn't been innocent either, it exhibited elitist, closed group behavior and mentality bordering in some aspects on the cultist style. The pattern is catchy and it's spreading in American politics.

No need to remind the examples, even current ones of authoritarian cults and what they do to societies. The question is out and before the people: is cultist political culture acceptable and will it be a permanent staple of American politics from now and to whatever end it would take the society and the country? Or the society rejects these trends and culture right here.

The answer will be obtained by history in any case: if it's not rejected now, then it's the new normal, and standard.

What they cannot respond to rationally and logically they will try to suppress. Frightened child syndrome. Cognitive dissonance. But games with these things can be costly, history tells us this much sure.

I just saw the thread title.... Are you saying that everyone has to join the DNC cult now?

Don't believe everything you see on CNN, dingus.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.
