Same difference from a flat chested woman, to one with perky D cups. One flirting with a cop likely will get the ticket. The latter, likely will get a warning. You could be pig ugly, and still get men, if you have big t*ts and a nice a**. I have seen some "but her face" type women, get rich moguls. Find me a flat chested woman with no a** with a mogul. I'll wait. A woman who looks like the letter I standing, will only get dogs peeing on her, mistaking her for a light post. You are pretty much stating having large breasts is the female equivalent of being tall for men. You seem to do this quite a bit on the forum- make a statement, then deny that you made it in the first place. Edited June 16, 2024 by DUI_Offender Quote

impartialobserver Posted June 17, 2024 Report Posted June 17, 2024 Being someone who is abnormally short.. 5'4".. there is a difference. Are tall men more masculine? No.. not even close. Years ago when I was on the dating circuit... you could tell that it impacted my options. When I was in Junior HIgh.. I was definitely the brunt of many jokes until I fought back one day and choked out a kid nearly killing him. Probably should have chosen another method but it was effective. No one messed with me again. Quote

Tall and thin men will be far more likely to get job opportunities, especially in lucrative sales jobs. Quote

Well then good thing that I loathe sales jobs and never tried to get one. At my current job.. physical stature means absolutely nothing. Ability to decipher computer code and being tall are not in any way connected. Quote

But statistically, especially in sales, people will automatically assume am harder working than someone short and stubby based on appearance. Many employers will thin slice someone obese or short and obese, as likely being lazy, so would be less likely to make such a hire. 9 minutes ago, impartialobserver said: Ability to decipher computer code and being tall are not in any way connected. That is correct, but if am hiring a computer programmer and saw someone morbidly obese, I would likely assume they would be good at the job. If the job requires stamina and physical energy, not so much. Tall people tend to have an easier time, if they are men regarding overall opportunities. But let me specify. Tall and thin. Tall and morbidly obese is just as good as insanely short and skinny. I have dated women as tall as 5'10, who felt I was tall enough for them. I don't think its my height that got me my wife, but I guarantee you she would not have been interested if I didn't showcase high levels of ambition that matched hers. If you're as tall as my dad (5'3"), you better have tons of money. I would joke about who is my real father, as I towered over both of my parents by the time I was 12. Quote

Tall and short... are not the same as thin/obese. Been on the interview panel for the last 5 new hires.. 4 males vs. 1 female. 3 were fairly short and 2 somewhat tall. What was the main selling point? Ability to learn new things. That was what got me this job. Self taught myself SQL in the 2 weeks between the application and interview. Being short does have a few advantages.. 1. I do not feel cramped on an airplane and 2. feet never hang off the end of a bed. Quote

Emotional intelligence is tops in skills I look for. I don't care for skin color, gender or size. I look at skill and ability for growth. Statistically speaking however, the scale tends to tip towards someone tall and polished for jobs. Relationships are no different. 2 hours ago, impartialobserver said: Being short does have a few advantages My wife is 5'2. Drove her 7 hours to a relative. She was comfortable. My feet and legs were in agony. Flights are the same. She is refreshed, my knees, back and hips are usually howling in agony on a 14+ hour flight. She also doesn't smash her head into cupboards at the top like I do. Never has banged her head exiting a car. She doesn't get asked: "You Kobe Bryant!?" when in Asian countries when I look nothing like him, or if I play basketball. Tons of advantages. Cheaper for her to get clothing, etc etc. I just don't think the world favors shorter men, but I have seen shorter men with tall model like women. They have to work harder. I was an ugly ducking as a child with teeth I had to get fixed. So I had to work on my personality. Older, women tell me am handsome all the time, but I am used to putting in work to get a woman's phone number so that work ethic never left me. If you have the latter, the height shouldn't matter. Just hired another person in my dept. 5'1" and 120 lbs at best. So much for height being what tips the scales in every profession. Why hire such a short person? Simple.. they are a documented and proven expert in R, R Shiny, and Python. Quote
RB Posted November 1, 2024 Report Posted November 1, 2024 Since it is a question about male height. Should I take a vote here to ask how many males wish to be shorter? or taller? an overwhelming majority would not wish to be shorter. There are evidence to back "tall" height and why the ladies go for height ‘Big’ men: Male leaders’ height positively relates to followers’ perception of charisma - ScienceDirect; Standing tall pays off, study finds. For those wishing to be shorter there are some key evidence that show short people stay longer in relationships, and they live longer among some other variables. hmm short folks don't like housework compare to tall folks. But, our height (both genders) should not define who we are and what we are capable of e.g., Simone Biles @ less than 5', Carnegie, De Vito Quote

They found that a man 5'6 would have to make 9 TIMES the amount of a man that is 6'5, to become more appealing, to the average woman.
