Guest Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 your acceptance of the loophole of killing innocent civilians is 'collateral damage'. Call it what you will. It's a major difference. I accept that some innocent people might die as my culture is defended from outside aggression. They accept that some women might have to have acid thrown in their faces as their culture is defended from women who want to learn or go to work. I win. Quote

I win. you accept that bombs from airplanes will fall and kill innocent civilians, like the weddings that were bombed by NATO forces in afghanistan. i wonder how disfigured the women and children were after the 2 ton bombs were dropped on them. you live in an illusion that you're morally civilized. you're not. But is your final clause here not an assumption, based largely on faith, and so is at the very least an arguable proposition? Do we always and only use military force for just and defensive purposes? Quote “There is a limit to how much we can constantly say no to the political masters in Washington. All we had was Afghanistan to wave. On every other file we were offside. Eventually we came onside on Haiti, so we got another arrow in our quiver." --Bill Graham, Former Canadian Foreign Minister, 2007
