Democrats love them democracy until they don't

Recommended Posts

Its amazing how much they say they care about the voters while simultaneously trying to keep their opponent off the ballot and ensuring THEIR guy is the candidate by making it damn near impossible to get on the ballot and cancelling primaries and let us not forget what they did to Bernie.

Job 1 of the DNC is to field the candidate most likely to WIN the general election.

Very Democratic there.

Honestly I don't think RNC wants Trump to be the nominee but at least they let their voters decide, unlike the DNC who manipulates their primaries to get the candidate THEY want.

It is sad that the Democrat bench is so awful that the best you got is an extremely unpopular senile octogenarian to be your candidate

You're delusional because you don't know that in 2020 the RNC did the same thing for Trump. It's been SOP like forever that the incumbent POTUS gets a pass.

When was the last time the same 2 candidates from GOP and Dems had a rematch in consecutive POTUS elections?  Has it ever happened?

No i don't think so - even when nixon made his comeback it was against a different opponent. There haven't been all that many single term presidents in the first place.

From a purely historical point of view it would be amusing to see trump win.  Being the 'first one ever to..."  is in his wheelhouse bigly. He would just love it i'm sure, going down in the history books for having done the impossible.
