The Blue Jays need to fire the manager and hitting coach.

Guillermo Martinez the hitting coach.

 The injuries to Jansen, Chapman, Belt, and the recent injury to Bichett have had an impact beyond the control of the coaches. Vladdie has an issue that they need to address. I don't know if it is because opposing pitchers have found his weak spot or if he is having eye problems. He is still spectacular on first base.

There is a lot of talent on that team. If they are to replace Martinez, I hope they choose wisely. 

Pitching is better this year but still lacks the level of consistency expected from a team in contention.

They do not hit. You can't win if you can't score runs. The Jays can't hit good pitching. They've been relying on getting to an opponent's bullpen. By then it's often too late.

All Canadian sports teams underachieve. Toronto is the only one that can't use lack of money as an excuse.

Toronto Raptors won an NBA championship in 2019 and made an ECF in 2016. Not too bad considering that the Atlanta hawks have not played for a championship since the 1950's and the Washington Wizards have not since the late 70's.

for a hot minute.. word on the street was that Toronto was the front runner to acquire Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers. Well, that is not happening. Still, Toronto has a solid core of players and should be a playoff team.
