So… this article just broke. DeSantis is the Governor of Florida.  He has supermajority control of his legislature. He can definitely step forward and say, “I had no idea this was happening! I’m firing the people who permitted this and asking the Legislature for the Medicaid funding needed to give these poor children the in-home care they need so they can stay with their families and avoid this awful neglect!”

Will he do that? Of course not! Only a decent human being with a sense of ethics and morality would do such a thing, not an egotistical narcissist who sees public office only as a means to seize ever-greater power. But I’d love to see the man surprise me.
