reason10
https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/newsmax-eric-bolling-rob-schmitt/2023/05/17/id/1120244/ Newsmax Beats CNN Again in Ratings for Key Shows It happened again. Newsmax topped CNN in the ratings during Tuesday night's programming. According to Nielsen data, during the 8 p.m. EDT prime-time hour, Newsmax's "Eric Bolling The Balance" drew 510,000 viewer impressions, beating out CNN's flagship show "Anderson Cooper 360" with just 496,000. Excuse me, but wasn't Newsmax just another internet right wing rag who somehow made it to print and then to a cable news network? And now it is beating CNN, (the ORIGINAL cable news network) in some areas? Two things to take away from this: 1. Newsmax is DEFINITELY refining it's reporting techniques and drawing a growing audience. And it is not under the heading of "fair and balanced," which means it pretty much tilts to the right. 2. CNN's left wing bias is costing it a nation of viewers. Newsmax beating out a couple of its shows should mean a few executives should be fired. It's one thing for FoxNews to kick its ass. But now Newsmax? Then again, these days CNN is becoming a punch line, kinda like Justin Bieber. Bud Light has been nicknamed the CNN OF BEER. impartialobserver
Overall, cable news has being dying for a while. Being the number one on a sinking ship.... means that you are still on a sinking ship.

Trump is the only reason CNN has been worth watching. lol 7 minutes ago, impartialobserver said: Overall, cable news has being dying for a while. With each passing year, we the public grow weary of the propaganda and must rely on our own research.

Twitter, facebook, instagram, and the various websites are mostly free and let us digest the information whenever and however we want. WestCanMan
In a way it's unfair to CNN that they take all the flack for the laundry list of MSM lying. NBC, WashPo, NYT etc are all just a bunch of remorseless liars and afaik they're not sinking like CNN.

I wouldn't judge all cable news by one failing left wing rag. TV news in general is losing audience to the web based versions anyway. I find it unbelievable that in this day and age the news is so ridiculously misleading. Anyone who watched CNN/CTV for the last 3 years has to know that they were completely stooged regarding covid, Russian collusion, M Brown, G Floyd, etc. For sure there are some brainwashed cultists who believe it all, but maybe not as many as we previously thought.
