The liberal government has decided to drop the ethic commissioners wage by 33 1/3 % or just over 100,000 K, or from 338,000 k a year to 228,000 a year... they gave no reason for the except for the speculation of he was to hard on the Liberals with finding 5 members with ethics violation, and the PM with multiply violation.

The job requires you to be a former judge or members of a federal or provincial board, commission or tribunal with relevant experience. not sure why the need for all that experience when surely anyone can really tell you if something is ethical or not, ...besides the worst result or outcome is an ethical violation, it does not come with a bage or a warning letter that you can frame.... it is pretty much a light slap on the ass, and the "good game" remark ....  much like getting a warning on this forum it really means nothing in the long run, nor does it deter others from doing the same thing, in fact the PM has multiple violations, and he just shrugs them off, although he does get free press coverage, Conservatives get a chance to scream and shout and point fingers, and the rest of Canadians have extremely short memories, less than a couple of days, and liberal voters not really much we can say about liberal voters , who actually like that bad ass vibe ethics violations give out...like a badge of honor.

So perhaps instead of looking at bringing back the entire wage thing, maybe we should just take a pause and ask ourselves "why do we just forgo the entire position. and save 328, 000 k  a year".. we could donate that funding to Justin family charity, or maybe the we foundation, or to pay off SNC Lavalin next bribery charges....or give back all that donations that came from china...the solutions are endless with this government .

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Mario Dion is also stepping down as ethics commissioner.  He served exactly 5 years to the month (he took one month off for health reasons, allegedly).  Just long enough to get the sweetest pension possible.
