You make some good points. But I think your analysis is a little...thin.

History needs to be analyzed and one must read between the lines, in order to even scratch the surface of the reality of how things took place.

This sounds rather cynical….  Practically nihilist, in the sense that nothing can or should be believed.    As if you’re assuming any historical facts are a lie and one should believe what, exactly?  Whatever feels good?

I find people with outlandish, or extremist, views are often the people who benefit from such cynical attitudes.  It gives their crazy viewpoints credence, since nothing in history can be believed, therefor their crackpot views are just as credible as the consensus view.

History is tolerable if you take it with a pound of salt and let the Europeans maintain their self righteous delusions of grandeur .
