I would like to know more about who's showing up to the protests, and who's funding the protest. I suspect that many Opec nations are secretly funding activists groups, in order to detrail petroluem production in Canada. They want to stop Canada from becoming an oil state, because they want the world to be dependent on their own oil. If they world no longer has a need for middle eastern oil, then we can start complaining about human rights. We can put sanctions on them, when they go against the global community. Oil props up their totalitarian dictatorships, and without that leverage, they're more vulnerable. So it explains the motive for them to do everything they can to derail our energy sectory. Here's a recent documentary about the Wet'suwet'en people. It's from Al Jazeera. If you look at the disclaimer at the bottom of the video, it's claims that the video is partially funded by the government of Qatar. Qatar is a filfthy rich oil state in the middle east. So lets have a discussion behind all the groups, who are trying to sabatoge the Canadian energy sector.

I would think it entirely irrelevant who shows up at the protests.  Their actions are either legal or illegal.  The group identity of the protestors is irrelevant.  Enforce the law.  If the law isn't broken, let them be.  If it is, arrest people interfering with railways.

How many do you think the government will arrest before it gives up?  It only took 800 for environmentalists and natives to achieve their victory in my region of BC.  I doubt they've forgotten what works.

I'd like to know if some foreign groups are paying millions of dollars to organize opposition to pipelines and resource development, as has been alleged.

Gee, I made the "follow the gold" comment in the other thread, then ran into yours.

IF there is Qatari coin contributing, ever think about why?   The Coastal Link is there to feed to potential LNG projects, big ones.   Qatar's total economy is based on exports of gas...as a liquid (i.e. LNG).

Duh.
