Freemasons and the Molson family are tax free in Montreal

What was my shock to learn that in Progressive Québec, the dices were stacked for the powerful and rich and against the common man.

In Montréal, the Molson family and the Freemasons, including many more influential members and groups of our society, have the privilege of not paying any estate tax. This costs Montréal $1.5B each year according to the Journal de Montréal.

Any breaks for the common man? I don't think so.

I'm not clear on this, there is no estate tax in Canada.

I never drink Molson's and I do not support the Habs.

I think it's to do with offshore accounts and avoiding taxes, or exploiting a loophole.   Don't know what it has to do with Freemasons tho.
