Forum Admin Greg Posted April 4, 2005 Forum Admin Report Posted April 4, 2005 Please note that it is illegal to even discuss the particulars of Jean Brault’s testimony at the Gomery Commission in Montreal, Canada. Any links, quotes, or discussion of the testimony will be immediately removed from these forums. Sorry folks, my hands are tied. We're not risking criminal charges so that a few of you can get a sneak peak at what is being said. Be patient, everything will come out with time. caesar Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Hopefully, this will be released soon. Truth can be discussed. Wild imaginations with their endless possibilities without any evidence to support it is aggravating and unfair Quote
Conservative1 Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 It should never have been placed under the publication ban in the first place. The hearing is open to the public, anyone can go and see it....obviously the information was going to get out! Especially considering the public interest in this investigation! Quote
caesar Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Of course it should be confidential until all the facts are in. Fortunately, in Canada; we still have trials in our courts; not by media. Do we want to be another media circus in our court cases such as happens in the USA. Certainly not more just; OJ went free; yet most people still believe him to be guilty. Quote
theloniusfleabag Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Dear Greg, Please note that it is illegal to even discuss the particulars of Jean Brault’s testimony at the Gomery Commission in Montreal, Canada. Any links, quotes, or discussion of the testimony will be immediately removed from these forums.Does the partial lifting of the ban extend to what can be discussed on this forum? As I understand it, the only legal ban now is information regarding Brault's relationship with Guite. Forum Admin Greg Posted April 7, 2005 Author Forum Admin Report Posted April 7, 2005 Good point, theloniusfleabag Please refrain from discussing those portions of the testimony that are still under a publication ban. Otherwise, feel free to discuss everything else. If someone has a link to information that can define for us exactly what can and cannot be discussed, please post it here. Cheers, Greg Admin Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.
kimmy Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 If someone has a link to information that can define for us exactly what can and cannot be discussed, please post it here. No link to offer... but I would suggest that if people use Canadian news-sources (CBC, CTV, the Globe'n'Mail, the Star, PoliticsWatch, etc etc) as their source of information about this then they should be just fine... -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
