So there's always the possibility of contamination? Sux. But I'm sure there are ways a probe could see through the ice at its thinnest portions, so we would not have to drill through. Even under 150-ish magnification it's very very small. Rather disappointing. I think you have to get used to viewing it to really get what it looks like.
