maplesyrup Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Monstrosity and humanity live hand in hand Denying that history's mass murderers were people too creates lapses of insight Our planet has had its monsters - Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot. But who have Canada's monsters been? Although not to the same extent, I'm sure we Canadians are not exempt. Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. Anatole France

maplesyrup Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 Some might say it was Clifford Olson. Others mention it might well be that guy from Port Coquitlam (downtown Eastside missing women)who is going on trial soon I hope. And others say it could be Lepine (U de Montreal female students). ndpnic Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 "The Black Donnely's" were by far Canada's most monstrous clan! Quote
caesar Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 This is supposed to be Canada's worst mass murderer and it is a woman And in a crime unique in Canada, Marguerite Pitre - Canada's worst mass murderer - was involved in a diabolical plot in 1949 that took the lives of twenty-three people, although there was only one intended victim. Big Blue Machine Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Pierre Trudeau. He was the biggest monster ever, next to Don Cherry. Man, that guy is annoying. Quote And as I take man's last step from the surface, for now but we believe not too far into the future. I just like to say what I believe history will record that America's challenge on today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow. And as we leave the surface of Taurus-Littrow, we leave as we came and god willing we shall return with peace and hope for all mankind. Godspeed the crew of Apollo 17. Gene Cernan, the last man on the moon, December 1972.
caesar Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Political monsters then Mulroney is by far rhe worst. Trudeau was the best. I lived the times Big B; you only listen to others. Quote
Hawk Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Trudeau was definitely a monster, but I will give him credit for 'seeing the light' when it comes to Quebec seperation (since he WAS an activist in his early days)... but other than that he is responsible for destruction of the Canadian military even moreso than it already was in and breeding even more anti-Americanism for his own political gains. Not to mention his pathetic economic policies. Bakunin Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Pierre Trudeau. He was the biggest monster ever, next to Don Cherry. Man, that guy is annoying. totally agree... Quote
caesar Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Get back on subject. As you can see from the CBC poll Canadians loved and respected Trudeau. He was our strongest leader. This is about monsters, mass murderers. Perhaps your friend GWB would qualify, if he were Canadian but get back on track. Quote
Newfie Canadian Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Paul Bernardo. Not just what he did, which was monstrous enough, but the smugness displayed by him was horrific Quote "If you don't believe your country should come before yourself, you can better serve your country by livin' someplace else." ndpnic Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Karla Holmoka hands down! WAY WORSE then her hubby. Quote
Shakeyhands Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Brian Mulroney.... oh ok... I would say its Pickton, when all the details come out its going to be horrific. btw.. the Donnelys were not killers, there was a dispute between James Donnely and another man and a fight broke out and unfortunately the man died. James Donnely spent 7 years in Kingston Pen for that. They Donnely family were in fact murdered (5 of them, including James, his wife, daughter, son and niece) by the Sheriff and a mob after they had been drinking and were to beat confessions out of them. Their bodies were burnt when the mob set the house on fire. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
kimmy Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I'd never heard of the Black Donnely story, but I found an article here: http://www.frymybacon.com/articles/article...?article_ID=227 It does sound like there were monsters, but it wasn't the Donnely's... My choice is Marc Lepine. I have mixed feelings about the death penalty, but if that guy was strapped to the chair, I'd have no problem jabbing the needle into his arm. Thankfully he did us all a huge favour by doing the job himself. -kimmy Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

playfullfellow Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Clifford Olson is definately at the top of the list. He is a lunatic killer with no conscience. Worse yet, the bastard will get out in a few years. He needs to be pushed in front of a moving bus when he is freed. Quote
