Well, in this case the selfie was taken by the family and they were the ones were talked about it to the media.

The other incident mentioned by Big Guy above was with respect to Trudeau being on vacation in Tofino.

He was on the beach and a wedding party passed by. Some woman took a picture of a shirtless surfer PM dude and it went viral.

That's the way it is now: social media means always having a camera on you and always being able to upload pictures.

For now it's great for Trudeau as he is popular and photogenic.

In time that will change.

Also in time all the old farts complaining about selfies will be dead so we won't have to hear their endless whines.
