LPC Campaign Co-Chair Advises TransCanada

So maybe the first post-Harper leader isn't the Prime Minister in waiting. The Liberals have experienced that twice in the last ten years. It's not abnormal, though not comforting if you're hoping the Tories will be in fighting form for the next election.

That as you know is determined by the quality of policies, the "face if the franchise", economic conditions, world events, etc.

Here is an interesting take on this Gagnier issue:

Seems most of the negative fallout will be in Quebec, home of the Liberal sponsorship scandal still sensitive with French Canadians and also home to the NDP's voter base.

Could the Liberal misstep stop the NDP bleeding?

The Liberals have just shown us yet again that they haven't changed at all. Same old same old.

And how long should that debate take? Theres a line between talking about the issues and nothing getting done. That is the advantage of a majority parliament.

"Debate" is where you produce convincing evidence that your proposal is useful for the country. .... or opponents to your proposal produce convincing evidence that is is NOT. Then 308 people vote as to which side of the debate is the more convincing.

We do not have enough "debate".... we simply have entrenched positions that have no basis in reality. And when the evidence cannot be refuted, it is ignored. Sure, you might get "more done" with a majority in that case, but is what you "get done" good for the country???

"Debate" forces reasoned argument instead of mindless talking points.
