Now he's promising to fix the water problems on reserves, ok, im not against the idea, but that wasn't in the 'costed' plan. Billions more in spending, but he doesn't have to make any of this work, he just has to be nice, cuddly Justin, cuz Harper just isn't nice, and that's more important to some people than things like budgets, taxes, or reality.

The source of the water issues on native reserves are very well known. They come from native band chiefs appointing their relatives to take care of the water, none of whom have any training or motivation in the jobs.

Couldn't find it. I presume it was under the fiction, section, right, specifically Fantasy?

Argus I have to give you this one, the link worked fine for me when I found it, and when I went back to look at the infrastructure stuff, it did not work. I have been able to download a pdf from here: https://www.liberal.ca/files/2015/09/The-Liberal-fiscal-plan-and-costing.pdf

You may now return to casting aspersions on my integrity.

You will get no argument from me, in principle im not against improvements, but those improvements should come from where the money already is before we spend more, which of course is what the cosnervatives have been trying to do, but as i'm sure you have heard, that's not nice.

says the guy, YOU, who still refuses to provide a cited reference to a fully costed breakout of the Harper Conservative 2015 election platform, inclusive of campaign promises... one that speaks to, as YOUR OP says, "How is Harper Going to Pay for all His Promises?". Notwithstanding the thread still doesn't have a direct working link to a non-subscription version of the article you linked to.

I disagree. I think they would balance the budget. They just aren't telling us about all the extra taxes it would do to do so. As I said, I expect they will make the carbon tax a big one.

They have told us about: rolling back TFSA limits, cancelling income splitting, raising corporate taxes, taxing stock options, ending fossil fuel subsidies, and doubling the capital gains tax.

They have drawn back from the capital gains tax statement in their party policy manual, and the rest is not nearly enough to pay for all the things the NDP have promised, esp daycare.

Someone should ask Harper how is he going to keep out of a deficit and still off all the sectors he promised pay offs?

He's promised a hell of a lot less than either of the other two.

While I will say that Harper's the only one who didn't release a costed budget, what you are saying is on the ball.

The reality is that he doesn't have to. He's proposing spending the equivalent of a 5 year old at a candy store versus buying the store and the entire chain.

My views are my own and not those of my employer.

Nice deflection.....but that was not what the question was,

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

no deflection - I've been asking the same thing repeatedly in this thread. As for that question you speak to, why should it be given any consideration given the MLW member who asks it refuses to address the many requests for him to provide a costing breakout for Harper Conservatives... or that he provides an OP link to a subscription required reference. No Harper proponents in this thread have similarly answered the same request made at large... at least one of them had the wherewithal to acknowledge Harper Conservative costing doesn't exist. Oh wait, is this YOUR (nice) deflection in also not providing a Harper Conservative costing while presuming to accept a question that asks for something no Harper Conservative proponent can even provide for their favoured party?
