waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I thought growing the economy from the heart was up there........ of course you would... another perfect example of Harper Conservative purposeful misinformation! You're late to your misinforming party - that one's already been covered! Ya see, the missing context of that "heart" is the "middle class". Imagine... "growing the economy from the middle class out"... that's outrageous! now don't you feel slimy... oh right... of course you don't!
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 of course you would... another perfect example of Harper Conservative purposeful misinformation! "growing the economy from the middle class out"... that's outrageous! now don't you feel slimy... oh right... of course you don't! No it's just stupid. Just like saying he admires an oppressive regime like China. Sure he was talking about Environmental policy. But who cares. he was saying he admired a government being able to do things without having to consult with the people. Talking about not respecting democracy. Your standard appears to be that unless the CPC includes a disclaimer about how JT defends himself, it's improper context. That's just not who partisan politics works.
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) Look at all the Martin attack ads from 2006. Troops in the streets etc. Public Service Unions are the worst ad fear mongering based on incomplete facts with attack ads. It's fascinating that you're deflecting in a thread about Liberals to Harper and then when we bring it back to the Liberals you accuse me of deflecting. And I fail to see how "The Budget can Balance itself" isn't fair game for attack ad fodder. that much ballyhooed "troops in the streets" never saw more than a few short "minutes" on a website... it never got any mainstream play as an attack ad... more pointedly, it was Martin who ordered it taken down. Try to get your talking points straight, hey! but you conveniently avoided answering my direct and pointed question... can you name a single attack ad where the Liberal party has taken words of Harper, taken them completely out of context/without context... and used them as the entirety of an attack ad... a purposeful misinforming attack ad? I appreciate you tried to deflect/distract from this question... but I'm asking it again - yes? and again, "that budget can balance itself" has a missing context... one that explains it entirely. As I said, you're completely down with accepting this kind of sleazy, purposeful misinforming, out-of-context/no context, one-liner word play that Harper Conservatives engage in! Of course you are! . Edited August 18, 2015 by waldo
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 it's improper context. yes! That... improper... or no context! That's the lifeblood of the Harper Conservatives purposeful misinformation campaign. And you're not honest enough to admit it. Cause... you're completely down with it! Hypocrite.

Don't see very many Liberal ads much at all. The Liberal strategy is only to do peachy positive ads and have Public Sector Unions do massive fear mongering campaigns. It's what we'll see this election.
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 yes! That... improper... or no context! That's the lifeblood of the Harper Conservatives purposeful misinformation campaign. waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Why doesn't Trudeau just say what he means then? I mean, he just walks into Tory and NDP attack adds....... really? You've got a brigade of short-pants types plowing over interviews/speeches with a simple mission: find a one-liner to exploit by ignoring context. A perfect example is the one you just put forward... the sentence before that one-liner includes the context... so... it gets ignored! And you're completely fine with it cause it fits your typical weasel-wording approach often found in your own MLW posts - you know, the one's I often point out to you!

The Liberal strategy is only to do peachy positive ads and have Public Sector Unions do massive fear mongering campaigns. It's what we'll see this election. nice! Is this your way of admitting you don't know of any Liberal party ads that follow the Harper Conservative purposeful disinformation campaign of one-liner, out-of-context, word play? No party can control what other 3rd parties choose to do... if you knowledge of influence in that regard I suggest you contact Elections Canada.
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 You still haven't answered how "The Budget will Balance itself" is purposeful misinformation. sure I have! It's taken out of context... because it's missing the qualifier... it's purposely missing ala the Harper Conservative misinformation campaign!
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 nice! No party can control what other 3rd parties choose to do... if you knowledge of influence in that regard I suggest you contact Elections Canada. It's the way the game is played. Just as Unions can use member money to do political attack ads, ads that make JT look like an idiot (they honestly don't have to try hard) are perfectly legal. Should the Liberal party not like it they can take the CPC to the courts. Ontario Premiere Kathleen Wynne used that strategy in the last election by suing PC leader for implicating her in the Gas Plant scandal.
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 It's the way the game is played. a game? Oh my! Like I said... you're completely down with it! You endorse this dirty, sleazeball routine of Harper Conservatives... you likee!
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 sure I have! It's taken out of context... because it's missing the qualifier... it's purposely missing ala the Harper Conservative misinformation campaign! And that qualifier is that he wants to grow the economy? And Harper doesn't? It's the idea that a budget is a sentient being that can do something on its own. It's a stupid statement. I would be mad at the CPC if they didn't use it in attack ads. Regardless of your outrage at its use.

Purrfect! The missing qualifier completely explains the one-liner... to anyone with intellectual honesty!
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Being from Ontario and hearing all the Hateful/Fearful attack ads an propaganda pieces paid for by Public Service Unions. You're damn right I am. I'm sure the rest of Canada that doesn't see your excuse for accepting sleeze... understands! But really, you're using provincial politics to rationalize your acceptance of Harper Conservative dirty, sleazeball tactics? Really?
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 you're digging your accepting sleaze hole deeper! Oh wait... you're attempting to put context to it now... to attempt to explain the purposeful misinformation! Purrfect! The missing qualifier completely explains the one-liner... to anyone with intellectual honesty! I think you're painting a world where YOU and you alone would feel that attacks against a politician you support would be "ethical". I can't convince you that it's not but if it's illegally slandering the good JT then I'm sure we'd have heard about a potential lawsuit.
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 I'm sure the rest of Canada that doesn't see your excuse for accepting sleeze... understands! But really, you're using provincial politics to rationalize your acceptance of Harper Conservative dirty, sleazeball tactics? Really? Politics is politics. Ontario is the place where this election will be won. So yeah it's relevant. Why aren't we hearing about Harper's hidden agenda. That's the seedy tactic of the left. Predicting an horrific result if X candidate is elected. Founded or not.
Keepitsimple Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I'm sure the rest of Canada that doesn't see your excuse for accepting sleeze... understands! But really, you're using provincial politics to rationalize your acceptance of Harper Conservative dirty, sleazeball tactics? Really? Oh my! Quite the apologist! Your mysterious "qualifier" is nonsense. Budgets don't balance themselves. Economic growth is only half the equation - the revenue side. The discipline comes on the spending side - and with Justin joined at the hip with Kathleen Wynne, the budget clearly won't be "balancing itself". It was a dumb statement to make - a gaffe......and continuing to high-five Wynne is another gaffe. Back to Basics

I can't convince you that it's not but if it's illegally slandering the good JT then I'm sure we'd have heard about a potential lawsuit. how telling of you to attempt to rationalize your own acceptance of dirty sleaze by presuming on my "ethics"... and in the very next sentence highlighting your own ethics by resorting to the last bastion: "if it ain't illegal, we'll do it". .

waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Quite the apologist! Your mysterious "qualifier" is nonsense. Budgets don't balance themselves. there's no "mysterious qualifier"... it's been provided before in an analysis of that purposeful Harper Conservative attack ad, sleazy, one-liner, out-of-context misinformation. Speaking of you being quite the apologist for Harper Conservative sleaze!
waldo Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 I see Trudeau has finally been backed into a corner to answer who is favorite super hero is: http://www.cbc.ca/news/justin-trudeau-s-favourite-avenger-1.3195000........... Trudeau SMASHed that one Harper doesn't have an opportunity to answer such a question... because he isolates himself from the press... unless it's the 3 vetted questions allowed! But no worries... I'm sure the PMO short-pants crew is already on it!
Boges Posted August 18, 2015 Author Report Posted August 18, 2015 how telling of you to attempt to rationalize your own acceptance of dirty sleaze by presuming on my "ethics"... and in the very next sentence highlighting your own ethics by resorting to the last bastion: "if it ain't illegal, we'll do it". . Or I would suggest the Liberal Party use whatever funds they have to highlight these "sleazy" tactics if they felt the public at large would care. All these Trudeau Gaffes have been well documented.

Again, another degree of your rationalization - refer to the purposeful misinformation as "gaffes"! . Edited August 18, 2015 by waldo
