I doubt it.......perception and context is lost on many........There were more allied deaths during the Normandy invasion, then there's been fighting the war on terror since 2001.....One has to ask, why was World War II a just war, but the War on Terror is not?

Well they arent unchecked. Kurds and Turks and Shia will defend their own turf. Isis will hold sunni areas. What will they become? Probably a sunni version of Iran... thats my best guess.

Ideologies that were simply a reaction to the machinations and shit and abuse of wealthy powerful people that finally heap up to the point that it drives everyone nuts.

Resources, control and money. That is why wars are fought.

Countries that are large and have a large military don't fight each other directly.

Large countries with a large military pick on smaller players, using them as proxies to fight the other big countries.

Countries that have no resources are ignored regardless of the conditions in those countries.

If Iraq did not have any resources (oil) there would be no reason to be pounding them with military action for over two decades.

Iraq has vast reserves, much completely untouched. Saudi has figured for many decades that they will inherit the whole thing as soon as the Ruskies and Yanks finish blowing their brains out. Seems pretty self-evident. Corrupt influential ass-holes pull strings and push levers to advance their own interests and power until they finally go over the top and cause a big problem. A new ideology usually springs up to do something about it and then corrupt influential ass-holes start creeping in and pulling strings and pushing levers again and on and on it goes.

Human beings need more robust methods to check the abuse of power. We need a new ideology, that's just all there is too it.
