Deductive_Dude Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 I think Andrea Horwath has taken a big step forward for the Ont. NDP by identifying with small business/entrepreneurs who create most of the jobs, and by carving out a fiscally responsible 'balance the budget' space for the NDP. Those are positions with broad appeal. I think it's long overdue and welcome, especially with Wynne giving 'handouts' for votes but not really addressing how to balance the budget, and Hudak with no ideas relevant to the 21st century. I agree, out of the three party leaders Horwath is the most charismatic and makes more sense as a premier than the other two. I think the liberals should be punished for their mediocore performance. Re electing them to me is a disaster at least when it comes to accountability and owning up to your actions. If I am left with a choice between the right and the left I will chose the one closer to the middle Quote
cybercoma Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) ? It includes all workers and the employers who create jobs for workers. When I say their labour roots, I'm talking about the NDP being entrenched in the labour movement and socialist ideals. We don't need another Liberal Party that tries to be socially progressive while pandering to business. Edited May 29, 2014 by cybercoma Quote

She is running around like a chicken with her head cut off. The libs and PC's have pushed her out and now she is trying to be a bit of everything. The province it done if hudak is not elected. I for one is sick and tired of union this union that. Alot of people are suffering because unions are the only ones that get anything. Would it hurt not to have a raise for a couple of yrs, really?? We do not get a PC government say hello to the IMF. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

For Christ sakes can't people for once quit thinking about themselves . What message does this leave, corruption is ok? Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
cybercoma Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) If smoking crack, hanging out with gangs, and talking to the media about going down on your wife is good enough for Toronto, then what do you expect? You think people care about corruption? Bribery? etc? Edited May 29, 2014 by cybercoma Quote
Deductive_Dude Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 Whether we like it or not charisma plays a major role in politics , a huge emphasis is placed on image more than substance. Sad but true. If you can't sell your product it will not sell itself just by being better than others . My own humble opinion the PC would have had a much easier job with a figure less polarizing than Hudak Quote

We don't need another Liberal Party that tries to be socially progressive while pandering to business.A governing party has to be both business savvy and socially progressive. Labour families know where jobs come from. The new generations of urban and rural 'green' entrepreneurs need a political home too. Quote
