WWWTT Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 NK cannot do anything to the US, the only nation they can actually hurt is South Korea. They cannot reap up the armistice because they lost the last war and were saved only through the interference of the Chinese Army and I don't think China will bother helping them this time around. Ya actually the NK were winning the war until the US helped SK.(nice try) China would not tolerate the US presence therefore became involved. If anyone thinks the Chinese will now somehow tolerate increased US military activity is dead wrong! In China right now people are more concerned about increased tensions with Japan! Funny how propaganda works. WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! Total fail of the moderation on this site! Signals.Cpl Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Ya actually the NK were winning the war until the US helped SK.(nice try) Due to the help in large part of the USSR through equipment and training, the US got involved almost immediately and it would be one Korea if it weren't for the over one million chinese soldiers who went in to save the NK government. China would not tolerate the US presence therefore became involved. Yeah thats what happened... it couldn't be that NK felt that they can overrun the south and when the UN forces pushed them back and crushed them they had to intervene or they would be sharing a border with South Korea and a powerful American army next door. If anyone thinks the Chinese will now somehow tolerate increased US military activity is dead wrong! Money talks and in this case when NK's BS starts hurting China's finances or even threatens to do so with their actions they will step in and rein them in... In China right now people are more concerned about increased tensions with Japan! Maybe because they know that NK is an impoverished little country that thinks its a big deal and they are getting tired of it... Funny how propaganda works. WWWTT It goes both ways, you spew your BS which is propaganda of the BIG BAD US which is an aggressor and the angelic China that protected the innocent nation that was the target of American aggression... never mind that it was NK that launched a war and that it was the UN that intervened in that war. Both the USSR and China were actively involved from the beginning and only became more involved after the US led UN forces gave back NK's army in pieces. As far as I can tell NK long range rockets are unreliable and few - which means they can be shot down easily even if they got off the ground. Well...we hope. At the moment, NK has to launch ICBMs from a fixed pad. Easy breezy target. But, we can also assume they're working on making the system mobile like the newer Russian models. Neither of us can say how high tech NK will get in this department over the next years...especially with their fair weather friends such as Iran helping with development. DogOnPorch Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Here she is...note the use of dangerous hypergolic fuels. But she's a rocket, all right. Not a toy...not something to ignore as a null threat. Plus, we have to be careful with countries like Iran and NK putting a nuke into orbit and calling it a 'science satellite'.
