August1991 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 You may have read about this: ..for the first time ever, neuroscientists from Duke University have successfully connected the brains of two living things: Two rats, sometimes miles apart, connected at the head by a simple electrode one hundredth the thickness of a human hair. Even when held in separate chambers, one rat could beam new information to the other, no squeaking necessary. Some Link Scientists have connected the brains of lab rats, allowing one to communicate directly to another via cables. The wired brain implants allowed sensory and motor signals to be sent from one rat to another, creating the first ever brain-to-brain interface. BBC The key point however is whether one rat is telling the truth to the other rat. This experiment, no doubt designed by physical scientists, entirely misses the point of the social sciences: Individuals lie. Quote

The key point is that these scientists have demonstrated the technology to allow direct communication from one brain to another. Quote

I don't want to have to think to them too. Quote

Bonam, husbands and wives do this all the time. ----- The better question: One brain can send a signal - for its own benefit - and deceive another one. Bonam, imagine. Quote
cybercoma Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 This is a great technological advancement. Now SWAT teams and military groups can communicate with each other without speaking. They have those devices that go on your neck that allow you to speak without vocalizing, but I don't think they would be as effective as this. Awesome. Quote

And they evolved into a Psych squad. A Psychic commander controlling the drones. The military and police will have cyborgs very soon, if they don;t already. Quote

August1991 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) August....yes, its called talking. Huh? Maybe in your family. I'm more intrigued about how my sister talks to our cousin. (IME, the deals within a family are far more complex than any contract a Wall Street firm could devise.) === IOW, as an institution, no State or Market could possibly replace the Family.
