Was that the stupid father holding the cam?

Do you think he's stupid for having kids or because he's French?

If he's the father, he would be stupid for not dropping the cam IMMEDIATELY and sprinting over to save his baby. Actually even if it wasn't his child, to continue to video as the eagle attempts to carry the baby away is sick.

He seemed to sprint over there as soon as he realized what happened. He probably was taken by surprise and wasn't expecting it either, so sometimes it takes a second to just realize what's going on.

Nevertheless, I understand how part of the fun of not having kids is to righteously tell parents what they're doing wrong.

Based on the video it seems pretty clear the camera man is not the father. There's another adult guy right beside the baby, and he does rush over right away, and he's there touching and comforting the baby immediately after. The man filming was likely just a bystander, and rushed over out of curiosity/sympathy/to see if he could help.

No, he does not touch the baby in any way, he just videos the baby. He also does not rush over right away, the video shows 5 seconds after the eagle first grabs the baby before he walks over(does not run according to the shadows of his legs in the video while he's moving) to film the baby from a better vantage point. It really looks like his only priority is recording the event.

I would have reacted differently is all. And I am getting tired of people behind cams thinking that they are more important than the emergency that unfolds in front of them.

That's 2 cheap shots you've taken at me with 2 posts. Did I offend you somehow previously?

I thought the cheap shots were the ones directed at the guy behind the camera. I was just making an observation about how you can tell when people don't have kids because they're always the ones commenting on other people's parenting skills.

Oh yeah? Well the guy behind the camera's mom obviously wears army boots, suckah! Even if it's fake. Told yah he took too long to assist the kid cause it wasn't even real. And you've obviously got some kind of anti kidless bigotry going on, hope you can get some kind of help for that in Winnipeg, though I heard the quacks there are a little too fond of shock therapy.sad.png

I don't have kids either, but I try to suppress the urge to be judgemental because I imagine being a parent must suck royally. But it's true I can be as self-righteous as the next guy.

I suggest you reread my post again, you seem to have misunderstood. I was talking about the other adult immediately beside the baby, not the camera man.

Copy that, I was trying to figure out what relation if any the camera guy was. Apparently none.

It appears that Bubber believes that one shouldn't criticize a parent unless one is a parent too. I don't agree with that approach as that would preclude me from commenting on guns, murderers, democrats, those living in Manitoba or Ontario(to pick just 2 since I haven't lived in either province) and a host of other topics that we are all interested in.

Not at all. I was just pointing out that it is obvious you're not a parent.
