Boges Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) I'd like to note. The Minister of Education can declare strike illegal under Bill 115. But she can't stop political protest. Political protest is a democratic right. Under Mike Harris, the weeks of walkout weren't strikes. They were political protests. PD Days are set out before the year starts. In these instances they're giving parents a week at most to prepare for it. BTW shame on any parent that actually buys their teacher a gift for Christmas this year. Yes, shame on anyone for letting the spirit of giving interfere with political anger. Boges Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) Perhaps parents can give teacher's a card saying: "I would have purchased a gift but I had to pay for a baby-sitter instead since you went on that one-day strike" Edited December 7, 2012 by Boges Quote
