It was the hard work of union members that helped the pc lose in K-W!

It was the lazy butts of the pc that were no match.

Oh but now you have a picture of a weakened poor sick individual and somehow you now think we all forgotten about why the pc lost(laziness, incompetence)

You think voters are going to vote for a party that can't put together a campaign, let alone run a province?

WWWTT

It was a bi-election this doesn't indicate that NDP are set to form another government in Ontario anytime soon. Hopefully during a general elections the Liberals general shittyness will be more on the spotlight and not the single issue of the teachers.

It's interesting a guy who's party has 18 seats and not a single one in a large suburban riding until now talks that much junk after winning one seat.

What's your evidence that the PCs are lazy BTW?

Today people have more information than ever before right at their fingertips but they just don't seem to have any concern for the big issues, like Ontario's massive debt.

Ya maybe the voters today can not forget about the mess that Harris created and that McGuinty has not fixed much by giving away corporate tax cuts!

Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! Down over $1,500 in less than one year! Total fail of the moderation on this site! That reminds me, never ask Greg to be a business partner! NEVER!

That the only thing you got McGuinty doing wrong? Tax cuts? I can think of many ways he's increased taxes for the average Ontarian in his reign (HST, Hydro, Health Premium, Fees on Licenses)

I think many would say the reason Hudak lost last year is that he didn't distinguish himself enough from McGuinty. He ran on being a McGuinty Light which meant that there was no reason to pick him over McGuinty based on policies alone.

Harris got two majorities running on right-wing policies. A person like you might think making Harris this big boogey man might be an effective tactic but considering the waste exhibited by this McGuinty government I suspect there may be an appetite to go back to that kind of fiscal responsibility.

As an NDPer I suspect you to totally disagree with that sentiment, but that's why we have elections. ;)

I don't think I can come up with a satisfactory answer to that to be honest.Today people have more information than ever before right at their fingertips but they just don't seem to have any concern for the big issues, like Ontario's massive debt. The public servants are crying about losing their collective bargaining rights but at the end of the day, they are paid very well and have perks most of us can't even dream of in the private sector.Too many governments,of all stripes are just spending way too much to be sustainable, and yet a large segment of the population seems totally unconcerned.I think Hudak is ok but that's not enough apparently.Andrea Horwath supports much of the same idiotic policies that the Liberals to,like overspending, windmills and solar. She is a union lapdog as well.

I think it's time for Hudak to go.

Thats a very candid and honest response.

Don't underestimate the voter.

In KW, it had close to the turnout of the past general election during the by election.

They were definitely engaged, you don't get that kind of turnout unless the electorate are paying attention.

So the voters saw something different then you see things, or they accepted the things you describe and voted for it.

But for whatever reason, this electorate with 22 years of voting PC , balked this time around.
