Rick Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 Take it to the Islamic forum...this has nothing to do with Canadian politics. Quote “This is all about who you represent,” Mr. Dewar (NDP) said. “We’re (NDP) talking about representing the interests of working people and everyday Canadians and they [the Conservatives] are about representing the fund managers who come in and fleece our companies and our country. By the way, did you take the time to follow the video? If so you wouldn't have posted as you did. It's not being "complacent sheep" simply because some of us don't shiver in an ecstasy of terror about the looming crescent shadow of the impending Caliphate. Tilter Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Posted May 20, 2012 No, you're message places you in the complacent sheep category along with a lot of Canada. The one good move I've seen out of the Mcpremier is that he refused to consider a law for 100 % of Ontarians for 5% of the population. Quote

So if I'm not throwing quaint little tantrums about the evils of Islam and its imminent takeover of Western civilization, I'm a complacent sheep? This is Alex Jones-level stuff, on par with the ruling caste of Bilderberg globalists, and abortion as a commie plot. No thanks. bleeding heart Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Ignore Islam at your peril. It's a deal. While fellows may not be jumping at me w/ scimitars from behind rocks, I'm well aware of the long history of outright conflict between Islam and the West stretching back to Islam's creation in a Dark Age laboratory. My point is the West kept these yahoos at bay for the past several hundred years for a reason. It might also be that our current actions are increasing the risk of terrorism...predictable, and in fact long predicted. However, we've at least mostly abandoned the fallacious "War on Terror" paradigm; and of course, terror states cannot rationally prosecute a "war on terror" anyway, making the entire thing somehting of a farce. More to the point (and as I have no problem perceiving the vague entity deemed "Western culture" as quite obviously superior to Islamic theocracies, as well as to non-theocratic Muslim dictatorships...domestically, anyway, rapaciously violent foreign policies dressed up with pretty motives aside), I am seeing a lot of support for Western culture among Muslim peoples, particularly the young. Certainly they tend to despise the international behaviour of the major states...rationally so. But they tend to hate their dictatorships...moreso than do our leaders, who like them, in opposition to their populations. There are murderous radicals aplenty, to be sure; but the peaceable Muslims are going to win out over the killers. Quite possibly despite our actions, rather than because of them...though I recognize that cause and effects are profoundly complex in international matters. Either way, it's going to be alright. bleeding heart Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 While the cult of Islam was born in the Dark Ages, the general conflict between East and West goes back to what? The Ionian Revolt? Somewhere around that... Darius the Great, et al... It's no more inevitable than an eternal hatred between the British and the nascent Americans...who like muslims to Jews, were offshoots of the former. If I believed in one of these blood gods that people admire so much, I might indeed consider the East/West conflict inevitable and eternal. But I don't...so I don't! Tilter Posted May 21, 2012 Author Report Posted May 21, 2012 Aside from the main subject of Muslim terrorism, let's speak of another type of religious action--- the watchtower society. They believe in all sorts of variation from the "Normal" religions but when I suggest we consider Devil Worship in the relative luxury of my living room (the luxury being that they are usually standing on the porch ) the seem to clam up, leave quickly & spread the word that there is an idolater living at XXXX XXXX st and it seems that they never come around again. Quote
