punked
Curious. Can you state the reason the Russians and Chinese are also developing 5th generation aircraft? Curious. Can you tell me who entered into developing the 5th generation fighter first? Edited April 19, 2012 by punked
DogOnPorch
So I guess you are saying no to my question then? Your answer to a question is another question? The "rudder" on airplanes isn't really used to turn the machine. This is more a function of the ailerons and the elevator. The rudder is used to cancel or increase yaw. cybercoma
They have global ambitions and don't need an army for them. They are buying up Canada and African resources and I have yet to hear you say boo about that. exactly.

Guest Derek L
Geeee I wonder why any nation would want to have the same military capabilities of another nation? That’s quite obvious no? And why would they Chinese and Russian develop an aircraft more advanced then the Super Hornet and why would the Americans and our NATO partners develop and purchase an aircraft more advanced then the Chinese, Russians and Super Hornet? Guest Derek L
exactly. I asked Punked, with no reply, so I'll ask you: Why are the Chinese developing a Military capable of projecting power beyond their own borders?

cybercoma
Canada will be operating the F-35 until the 2040s to 2050s Says the guy who said we don't need a 30-40 year LCC formula.
punked
Says the guy who said we don't need a 30-40 year LCC formula. It doesn't matter they already said every dollar we generate in Canada should go into the Military.
Guest Derek L
So we are doing it to protect our resources? Geee I wonder what the Chinese are doing. Sure…….notice the Chinese don’t have inherent energy and water.
cybercoma
Ergo when an aircraft type is no longer combat capable, we’re not maintaining our defence commitments to NORAD…….. Combat capable doesn't necessarily mean the F-35S.
Guest Derek L
Says the guy who said we don't need a 30-40 year LCC formula. I said such formula is of little utility and not based in reality.
