Newfoundlander Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 She does have an approval rating that is some 14 points lower then the Leader of the NDP, and half of BC hates the NDP no matter who leads it. I just noticed recent polls have her a bit lower then I thought. Quote
Newfoundlander Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 I guess I wasn't really paying attention back then. I just can't see the BC NDP as a better alternative. Well the BC NDP haven't actually gained any support from the BC Liberals. Quote

Newfoundlander Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 The only MLA to endorse Clark has turned out to be a complete disaster. She appointed him to cabinet after her win, only to demote him months later. Now he has resigned from cabinet after leaking an email. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Harry+Bloy+resigns+from+cabinet+over+email+leak/6308733/story.html Quote
punked Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Clark's new PR guy wont let the press ask her any questions any more. It gets worse by the day for BC Liberals. Quote

Topaz Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Well the new Dir. of Communication for Clark got off to a bad start with the media and one reporter told her that this is BC and not Ottawa and the press has the right to aks questions of the Premier. So why is a Liberal Premier, hiring two ex Tory staffers from Harper? I don't think the media and others out there in BC will let Clark off the hook as the new staffers tried to avoid talking to the media. Thoughts? http://www.globaltvbc.com/video/raw+video+sara+macintyre/video.html?v=2210068914&p=1&s=dd#only+online Quote

punked Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 What's garbage about it? Acting like somehow the Former Deputy Premier to Campbell was somehow different in her beliefs and ever learned to the Center. Yah it is a great story about how she use to be something and now she is Morphing into a Conservative but it is just untrue. She has always had the political leanings she does. Quote

punked Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) I didn't realize you knew her so well. She was in office for like 10 years 4 of which she was the second in command. Acting like those years some how "don't count" because it makes for a bad news story is terrible reporting. You pretending like this is a valid story when already has a political history makes you look like a strong partisan. But we already knew you were didn't we? Edited March 19, 2012 by punked Quote
Wilber Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 BC rail is a start. I remember her running for the Leadership also promising an election to approved her by the BC public right away. How long ago was that again? What happened to that election that was one of her key promises when running for the leadership. BC Rail is a huge deal for me. The way it was swept under the carpet with plea bargains and no inquiry after years of investigation and millions of tax dollars is just disgusting. The public doesn't know any more than it did the day the arrests took place. I disagree on the election. I wanted to see Clark in action for a while before having to decide on giving her a new mandate. I like to test drive a car before I buy it. Either we have fixed election dates or we don't. Politicians will always find an excuse for an election if it suits them. That's what fixed dates are supposed to prevent. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC

Newfoundlander Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Clark was a poor choice for the BC Liberals through out her life she has been handed opportunity after opportunity only to have those blow up in her face. She has a poor track record with success. While he wasn't as personally popular at the time as Christy Clark Kevin Falcon would have been a much better choice for leader. If he was leader it's unlikely the Conservative Party would have grown in support. Clark was able to use her high-profile to sign up new members, it's not surprising anymore that the only caucus support she was able to get was from a complete fool. Quote
