DogOnPorch
Clark was a poor choice for the BC Liberals through out her life she has been handed opportunity after opportunity only to have those blow up in her face. She has a poor track record with success. When younger, she looked a lot like this lady...maybe it stuck in folks' brains. Ropin' those NDP scoundrels. Newfoundlander
Here's a great article on Christy Clark that sums her up nicely I think. Increasingly, it appears that Ms. Clark simply liked the idea of being Premier, without much thought of what to do after that. Almost willfully uninterested in policy, she’s been lurching from slogan to slogan, while claiming to be responsible for virtually everything good that moves. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/christy-clark-replete-with-smiles-not-substance/article2388813/ I don't what's going to happen in British Columbia with the Liberals and Conservatives. I believe the perfect thing with Gordon Campbell was he had no affiliation with a party at the federal level and therefore was successful at attracting both Liberals and Conservatives into the BC Liberal Party. Clark on the other hand is a federal Liberal, and no matter how much she tries to reach out to conservatives there are a number who aren't going to vote for her simply because she supports the federal Conservatives. Even though I think Kevin Falcon would have made a much better leader and the BC Conservatives likely wouldn't have grown under his leadership, there is however a chance the party could have lost the federal Liberal and even centrist voters because of him. They likely would have had their struggles with keeping the party united under any of the leadership candidates.
