Also why would you not show parts, the rotation, of an exhibit instead of keeping it in storage. Does the federal government have nothing to make sure the funds they put out in this case half a million dollars actually gets used for what it is suppose to be used for? What it basically works out to is $350,000 for two shows.. while this isn't per se bad for an exhibit.. it does come out to atleat 70,000 viewing the exhibits at $10 a pop or 35000 people at 20 and so on. It is just sad they wern't allowed to do partial exhibitions. 700k still sounds like quite a bit for so much less than it could have been. This is a CanadaHand instead of a CanadaArm imo. The 30000 visitors ends up to about a $25 entry for the exhibit for those who went. This is not out of the question for museum entry charges so it is not a total failure, but why or why did partial exhibits not get done? $25 is around the entry price for the ROM for instance. Putting this thing in a place like "FedHall" instead of dropping Kitchener the tour would have been great. I'm guessing some University students would show up for sure (atleast 5) However, how much are people in Winnipeg paying for jets tickets. Nevermind I suppose. So in totally looking this over, does anyone here think this was a bad use of money? Edited September 3, 2011 by William Ashley Quote I was here.

There are, after all, museums in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. For that matter, we have a national museum of science and technology in Ottawa which would seem appropriate for it. Don't know if it would fit, though. Then there's the much larger Museum of Civilization. I bet it would fit there. Showing it in giant tents in an out of the way location in Montreal - in the summer, when most schools are closed, was just dumb. For that matter, you'd think they'd have solicited interest and made a preliminary arrangements with museums before they rented the thing in the first place. Oh well, if the public didn't want morons high up in the public service they shouldn't have made promotion based on things other than actual ability.
