Harry
Leadership is usually what drives a political campaign. Layton's leadership style seems to have caught fire with Canadians and is now challenging Harper for best choice to lead the country. Forum Poll released today Best Prime Minister Layton - 33% Harper - 32% Ignatieff - 14% Nanos who have been playing catch up with the other pollsters will be releasing their Leadership Index shortly. Their last index several days ago now showed the following, but Layton has been narrowing the gap: Harper - 105.7 Layton - 73.2 Ignatieff - 40.5 Duceppe - 5.3 Edited April 27, 2011 by Harry

Harry
Holy crap! Layton for PM!!! You got it - it's gonna happen. Harper took a real shitkicking in this Leadership poll in the last couple of days. Harper nor Ignatieff should be visiting any ridings those 'loser' parties want to win, as they are dragging their respective parties down. cybercoma
What should be of even more concern to the Conservatives is that the vote driver index is showing party leader on the rise, although still way behind party platform which is falling. Harry
Harper's personal support and the Conservative party support is starting to tank at the worst possible time for them. Sure looks like Canadians are finally about to deliver a big 'No Thank You' to the right wing in this country. Soaring Layton outpaces Harper in leadership ratings Jack Layton has jumped ahead of Stephen Harper in the Nanos Research leadership index indicating that the NDP Leader will be able to drive home his partys advantage in the closing days of the federal election campaign. Mr. Laytons numbers have soared to such an extent that his presence will further boost NDP support, the so-called coattail effect, said Nik Nanos, president and CEO of the polling firm. Although his coattails are longest in Quebec, where the rise in his leadership score is most pronounced, Mr. Layton will be able to buoy his partys performance across the country, Mr. Nanos said. And Mr. Layton has also acquired a Teflon coating. He is by far the most trusted leader, according to the survey, meaning that it will be difficult for his opponents, particularly Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, to attack the NDP and derail its momentum. The most likely effect of any attack, especially Liberal sorties, will be to solidify NDP support, Mr. Nanos said. For the Conservatives, there is also cause for worry. Mr. Layton has moved ahead of Mr. Harper on the leadership front, a major shift from the start of the campaign. This is the first time anyone has even come close to Stephen Harper, Mr. Nanos said. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/soaring-layton-outpaces-harper-in-leadership-ratings/article2001400/ Edited April 28, 2011 by Harry

Shit is happening!!!!!!!!! No it's not. The left always get over emotional over leaders. The reality is he needs seats. That ain't going to happen. Expect reality - another minority gov't and a coalition gov't.

Harper's image is tanking so that is why the Cons are now dropping in the polls. Edited April 28, 2011 by Harry

Harry
Smiling Layton starts to pull away from angry Harper, and Jack has now opened up 12.1 gap lead over Harper. It's no wonder. Harry
Harry, they're a one trick pony... Pity them You're correct Rick. The Cons are all about attempted smears and attempted drive-by attacks. Fortunately for Canadians this time Harper & his party hacks are just shooting blanks. PIK
You can always get the answer you want if you ask the right question... So I will ask you a question, I don't agree with you at times but you seem to have a brain, so the question is. Can jack do everything he has said, with out taxing us to a real death and when he raises the corporate taxes up to 19.5% will that effect new investment to this country.
