Mr.Canada Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 I urge you to please move your agenda away from the centre and more towards the right. Re embrace the Reforms populist ideals that made you so popular. I'm sorry to say but atm you're behaving like a Liberal and this will not be allowed to continue. It seems that you've turned the Conservative Party into the PC's of yesteryear. When you were a part of the Reform Party/CA you genuinely seemed to care about the voter and defended them with vigor and zeal. Where has that fire gone? Canada needs it to return and soon. Has the PMO really made you that fat and content that you feel that you no longer need to listen to your base? I understand your need to look Prime Ministerial can't you do both. After all you united the right when they said it couldn't be done. You're getting soft Stephen...please wake up. You united the right, yes, but it can be split again and it may come to that if you don't start throwing your populist base a bone here or there. I don't want to go back to the days of endless Liberal governments because the right vote is once again split. William Ashley Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Dear Mr. Harper, Don't come back. Don't you dare cross the Ottawa RIVER! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is so unfortunate coronary disease isn't more common in people with the last name Harper and first name Stephen. It seems even though his heart is cold he continues to live. Where is the discussion here. He is a dirty crook politican - they are a bunch of crooks. they arn't "aligned" during confidence votes - they are "pandering" to the votes right now, you have to wait until after the election to see the knives. Dear god you will get right if a majority happens. they might even give a few people a left too. ------------------ THIS BEAST MUST HAPPEN! ----------------------- OPPOSITION DON'T BACK DOWN take it by the horns. (your choice where.. just take it. Edited March 19, 2011 by William Ashley Quote I was here.

August1991 Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Mr. Harper, Use your own judgment and continue to do what you are doing. Ignore what many people are suggesting that you do. Some Canadians hate you personally and will always criticize you. Most ordinary Canadians, in French and English Canada, do not care about the details of your Cabinet's work. They judge your government on overall results. In general, your judgment has been right. Edited March 19, 2011 by August1991 Quote

I don't want to go back to the days of endless Liberal governments because the right vote is once again split. I understand the frustration when we see how the policies are so centered, and at times seem veering to the left. But we are a minority government. It is imperative to be the one to occupy that center! Have the others all get lumped together on the far left. There is a a shift happening in the horizon. Grass roots values are starting to fight for a come-back. There's a time for everything. Have patience. Canadian abortion activists worried about growing march for life Guest speaker, NDP MP Olivia Chow, recounted to the group of about 65 participants her thoughts on stumbling on last year’s March for Life on Parliament Hill. “I walked out of my office and the entire Parliament Hill was filled with people, anti-choice people,” she emphasized. “Because of that kind of supposable strength,” she continued, “we have to continue organizing… we need to speak up more.” “We know that the majority of Canadians support our cause,” said Chow, “support choice, support the right for a woman to make a decision, support the fact that every child born should be loved and wanted. The majority of Canadians believe that.” “We do not want to elect a parliament… with MPs that will stand up and vote against choice,” she said. The Toronto march was part of an international endeavor responding to the Republican efforts in the United States to defund Planned Parenthood. The Facebook page advertizing the event claims that Harper’s Conservatives are also “trying to restrict women’s choices” through the Maternal Health initiative. NDP MP Olivia Chow went on to decry the defeat of Liberal MP Bob Rae’s “Reproductive Motion” in Parliament last year. Rae’s motion stated that the maternal health plan, an initiative at the UN spearhead by the Harper government, “must include the full range of family planning, sexual and reproductive health options,” which would have included abortion. http://www.catholicanada.com/catholic-witness/pro-life/1175-canadian-abortion-activists-worried-about-growing-march-for-life.html Edited March 19, 2011 by betsy Quote
