Interesting story from the Star:

Convicted assassin living freely in Etobicoke

So the guy offs the president of Bangladesh in 1975 and when it comes time to pay he buggers off to Toronto. We don't deport criminals who are facing the death penalty, I get that. He has already been ordered out of the country. Can't we send him to France or something?

Chowdhury, who has lived in Canada since 1996, was tried in Bangladesh in absentia. He and 11 others were convicted and sentenced to death in April 2001 in a series of trials that Amnesty International declared were fair and unbiased.

Five of Chowdhury’s co-conspirators were hanged in Bangladesh last January after a much-delayed trial and lengthy appeal process.

I thought you might suggest Canadians send him to Afghanistan. But hold on, isn't that 'terrorism?'

I was here.

Why can't we imprison him? We should have accords or agreements with like-minded countries whereby duly and justly convicted persons in similar situations serve out their sentence here.

It sends the wrong message that we should allow the participant of a military coup such as this to have asylum here.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Yes, we have tax money to spare on all sorts of hudlums around the globe. That's why they all head for Canada.

I personally knew a guy that ran weapons internationally - and when he was not doing that..he was indirectly pimping girls to close buisness deals...and when he was not doing that he was chatting up the IRA who would sit in his bar in north TO...for a dayh or two untill they arranged the shipment ..

..and when he was not doing that it was rumored that he was a "cocaine kingpin" ------------------and he was so proud...He bragged how much he admired Trudeau...and how he dinned with the "brilliant" man.........makes me think that the old now dead former prime minister liked crooks...if they fit into their Trotskite global agenda...but after all - who does not like crooks...Uncle Brian loved crooks and loved those fat brown envelopes.....

Don't get me going on ethics..when a cop threatens to torture a hand cuffed man in the back of the cruiser..by placing a tazer in his crotch....Well....they convict the officer and have a debate...over whether a convicted felon - can stay being a cop...When we live in an atmosphere that is so grey that you can be a crimminal and a law enforcement guy at the same time...something is severely amiss..not that it matters...as for assassins in the neighbourhood...

I know of a young woman that was randomly stabbed at a bus shelter by a crazed Iranian fanatic...He had already stabbed another woman prior...and is now about to be released so he can stab a third..go figure....I would not fear the assassins - I would fear the ones that release these mad dogs on the public...Of course these things have a purpose...a harrassed society is supposedly easier to control if you do not have the talent of real leadership.

Leaders and their backers hold us in contempt...that's the problem with politics these days..You can have a leader that actually dispises humanity...Might be time to allow the benevolent and loving kings to return to power...at least they love us...As for the present situation...Bad behaviour by our so-called leaders is justified by what they call the human nature factor...They are so bewildered and confused in their outlook on humanity - That they actually believe people are bad - and human nature is bad...thus they have a justification and rationale to treat us badly....."Let go the hounds"..........then as the dog bites you they will say as if in a Montey Python movie........."it is not my dog"........what a bunch of pricks!

A convicted assassin walks amongst us. Who protects us from them? Thanks Trudeau for the Charter of Wrongs. Believe it or not children there was a time when law abiding people had freedom without a Charter of Wrongs. International criminals just love Canada.

the problem would likely be no other country wants him either, why would France accept a convicted assassin?... ordering him out of the country is meaningless as he can't leave, airlines will not let him board if he does not have clearance to enter the next country, that country will just refuse him entry and order the airline to take him back to Canada at the airlines expense...the best option would be a political agreement with Bangladesh that he'll be returned if they agree not to execute him, we have that exact agreement with the US...

No, he could be very useful to pick produce on some farm, break rocks on Ellesmere Island or do some other stuff like cleaning at pig farm.

Agreed and hopefully the two governments are working on such an agreement in the background because it seems Bangladesh isn't inclined to let the guy off the hook publically. It would be like overruling their own judiciary, that would be iffy since they have already convicted others for the same crime...
