madmax Posted February 19, 2011 Author Report Posted February 19, 2011 If I didn't know better I would think you're displeased. No, I am very pleased. Not only did you put your post on Guns in a thread about the CRTC and Broadcasting. But you put it in the thread titled "Conservatives for False and Misleading News". I think u are well on your way... Happy trails. Quote
Saipan Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 No, I am very pleased. Not only did you put your post on Guns in a thread about the CRTC and Broadcasting. This is "False and Misleading news" - fits right in. See you in CRTC and Broadcasting Quote
madmax Posted February 19, 2011 Author Report Posted February 19, 2011 This is "False and Misleading news" - fits right in. See you in CRTC and Broadcasting Obviously proving my point. Conservatives are for "False and Misleading News" Well done. I applaud your effort. Lets make all the news false and misleading. Then lets have the advertisers follow suit. U can see that your post has nothing to do with the CRTC and its ruling. Its one thing for thread drift. Its another to jump into a thread completely off topic... Quote
Saipan Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Obviously proving my point. Conservatives are for "False and Misleading News" I just proved liberals are. Lets make all the news false and misleading. Quite natural for liberals as you can see. Quote
bloodyminded Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Well that is easily explainable in Saipan-speak: the paid circulation is typical liberal/left number fabrication and the only reason they won all thoses awards is because they are all voted on by the other liberal/left bias media. (oh, and throw something in about the gun registry too.) I mean, seriously, that much should be clear already. Oh God, yes, don't forget the gun registry! It's all related, through...some force. Tomlinson, NFA Sorry, Saipan, but everything is not about the gun registry. It really, really isn't. Cyberguy Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Oh no...not that...anything but "US style" news. Next thing you know and the Conservatives might also want real Free Speech! Does your idea of free speech include shouting "FIRE" in theatre, inciting violence, or hate? How about Slander? Public broadcasters are Licensed to broadcast as long as they do so with integrity. Using their pulpit for lying & deception is as bad as phone-scamming & should not be tolerated in civil society. Have you no shame? Quote

Shakeyhands Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 You're asking this of Mr. No Facts?? How much ya' wanna bet he comes back with "The CBC"??? Wouldn't take a bet on that one. I am so tired of the usual suspects on this board making claims about The Star or The CBC or any other outlet printing flase or misleading news. I'd dearly love to see ONE such case. It would seem that all they can come up with is either editorials or accusations that others have made in published news articles. It's pretty clear that there is a lot of straw grasping going on with this group. ONE STORY.... Please? Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Saipan Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 How about Reform will never make official political party? Or Reform will never make it out of Alberta? Or Reform will never make Official Opposition? OK, but Reform will never form federal government? OK, but they never make majority? Either way I like their crystal ball. I guess lot of seaguls landed on it Quote

madmax Posted February 22, 2011 Author Report Posted February 22, 2011 Our tax money pay for some of the lies. If any broadcaster engages in False and Misleading News, there is recourse. Of course, you as a Supporter of "False and Misleading News" would rather have this recourse removed so that more BS can be spread without recourse. Quote
