I found people defending the police, and the government, and criticizing the press but no discussions on democracy, voting, nor nothing that stood out as criticism of the government.

I looked for awhile. Maybe you can find a link on one of those pages, and point it out to me to translate ?

Otherwise, I don't think I can spend much more time trying to prove your point for you.

bjre,

From the first link, I got this:

Fart chicken for the current and circumstances may be, corrupt officials, more than 50 million and would have killed before they can win popular support, to vent grievances, public opinion, otherwise, corruption is more rampant, more grievances.

Uh... seems like criticism, I suppose...

If you insist that these blogs are available inside China, I will modify my stance.

Go to china to find if that is available, just a ticket, I think you can afford that.

If you modify your stance, that means, when you see the truth, you have the courage to admit it, at least I can modify mine and think you have honest.

Ok, well based on your evidence, it seems to me that there is some criticism of government online in China and I'm surprised to see that. Pleasantly surprised.

Next step -> free multiparty elections, and free mass media.

Free multiparty elections in west country is meaningless. All the candidate are same to yield to corporate media.

NO free mass media in west country, it is controlled by several powerful people.

Democracy is lie.

What they want is only robbery from its own people and robbery from the entire whole world. Period.

Yes, controlled by SEVERAL people, and that group changes.

At least we have the choice, or if you say so illusion of choice. If China had the choice, maybe they would select better than us but they don't have the choice now.

Many Canada literate can not write, Canada win...

China sucks, so Chinaman comes to Canada because its way better than sucky China.

China win. So does Chinaman.

If Chinaman thinks China is so much better than Canada, Chinaman free to go back to China. But will he?

Nope. China win.

Why 300000 Canadian now live in China?

That is 1% Canadian population now living in China.

If 1% population of China live in Canada, that would be 13,000,000, almost half of Canadian population.

Canada win.

Flows of People and the Canada-China Relationship (Canadian International Council)

(May 2010)

(page 34)

Canadian communities in China are growing for many reasons. Although the exact number remains unknown, the best estimate puts
the number of Canadians in China (Mainland and HKSAR) at 250,000-300,000
, roughly the size of the population of Saskatoon or Windsor. Canada cannot afford to ignore the fact that so many Canadians live in China. How Canada can turn its diaspora in China into an advantage remains a huge challenge.

They all controlled by media, if not they will not win in election because most voters are brainwashed by mess media daily.

Their similarity is larger then their difference. They can all promise something then say no one is possible to do that after elected. Basically, give some lies to people.

Yes, controlled by SEVERAL people, and that group changes.

the several people are a too small group, they are similar, they have their common own interest, that is different with the interest of the most people.

At least we have the choice, or if you say so illusion of choice. If China had the choice, maybe they would select better than us but they don't have the choice now.

If you are in Toronto, the choice is only Ford and Smitherman, all others are just decorate that will not be elected. Just like in China many years before, only 3 people printed in each vote paper. I did not see any difference.

Most people have no choice for Harper. Let alone Iggy, who knows how he suddenly become the chief of liberal. And the close door talking between Iggy and Harper, between GG and Harper, is that your choice? Are you able to change that?

220 000 Canadians live in Hong Kong

That's 80 000 Canadians in mainland China, then. How many Chinese would come to Canada if they were allowed ?

Probably all of them.

I would argue that the choices are similar because we are mostly in accordance in how we want to go: a modified capitalism, with a basic social safety net, inside a constitutional monarchy.

It is due to Canada side limit the freedom of the people who want to move to Canada.

China did not take away the freedom of the people from moving.

Probably all of them.

How absurd? How do you know? How about the 300000 Canadian now in China? did they come back? If they did not, what make you think all Chinese will come?

I have talked about that before.

That is because the main developed countries robbed developing countries for so many years with International laws, banking rules, wars and others, they have much more money because of the robbery. It is not honorable when you use stolen money to get rich.

And judging by China's growing interest in Africa and Latin America, it seems to have learned the lesson well.

China do business in a much more fair style. Often let others take more interest. China did that for thousands years. It is a culture the west nations lack of.

Just ask the Tibetans...

China is every bit the capitalistic mercantilist, and yes, imperialist expansionist state that any of the Great Powers of the 19th century were. The chief difference being that it has a far larger potential labor force (though India is hot on its heals, and will certainly represent a major competitor in the latter half of the 21st century).

Not those Tibetans that receive money from CIA or NED.

The following content takes only 1 minute to google out:

The European Union and the American government have imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe? What is the main aim of these sanctions? They are meant to . . . weaken and remove the regime of president Robert Mugabe. Like other actions taken by institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, they seek to pressure and impose a government on the people of Zimbabwe in the name of 'democratic elections.' (AfricanPerspective.com, Issue #51, Saturday February 3, 2002, "No Sanctions on Zimbabwe")

In 2002, the fifteen member states of the European Union decided to impose sanctions on Zimbabwe. Sanctions are war without guns and bloodshed, and have limited, if any, effectiveness for changing behavior or governments of target countries. (Working Papers 1997 of the Institute For International Economics).

On the other hand, sanctions target to kill or injure infants, children, the elderly, and the chronically ill. (Ramsey Clark: Report to UN Security Council re: Iraq, January 26, 2000)

The Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act of 2001 states that U.S. sanctions will remain in place against the Zimbabwean "government" [euphemism for "the people"] until the U.S. president certifies that the "rule of law has been restored in Zimbabwe, including respect for ownership and title to property. . . and an end to. . .lawlessness." The U.S. government and its imperialist cohorts around the world are the ones who are "lawless" and defying the "rule of law" in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwean government has declared that it is against the law in Zimbabwe for 1 percent of the population in Zimbabwe -- i.e., white settler colonists -- to own 1/2 of the arable land, while 95 percent or more of the population in Zimbabwe are impoverished and without land.

Seriously, just because China is funding annd fueling the tribal hatreds in Africa doen't mean you have to pretend that Mugabe isn't a criminal...true he isn't as bad as mao was....
