Moonlight Graham Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Personally i think he has one of the best shows on MSM TV for sure. His show tackles important issues which for whatever reason many in MSM don't debate or have intelligent discussions about. The people he brings onto his panels are decent as well. I also think he is a very calm, rational, well-informed, and intelligent individual. I wish CNN would kick "Rick's List" off the air and stick Zakaria on the news every day. The MSM needs more Zakaria's. Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
Shady Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I agree. I enjoy watching his show on Sundays. One of his better shows was a couple of weeks ago, when he had on Paul Krugman and Niall Ferguson. They discussed government spending vs government austerity. Quote
GostHacked Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 He has a more toned down approach to things, putting the 'tv drama / flare' aside and simply reporting the news. The interviews he has, are very well done. He has become part of my Sunday morning ritual now. Wake up, grab a coffee, put on CNN for Zakaria, and then do about 30 kms on the bike. It really is too bad more news is not reported like this. Quote

He doesn't sensationalize. It's just info, no trying to entertain short attention spans. GostHacked Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 I agree. He doesn't sensationalize. It's just info, no trying to entertain short attention spans. He has a lot more substance than many other reporters out there. I've seen the one interview with that Imam from the UK. Several times shooting the Imam down and threatening to cut the interview short when questions were answered by other scenarios/questions. With someone like Fareed, you tend to get better information when the drama is put aside. Which leads to more focus on the issue than how it's delivered. Quote
