You seem to be under the illusion that even that would work.

I'm just so impressed with the personal insults and attacks that so many of you apparently feel the need to jump in with.

An incorrect statement was made. I simply pointed out that it was incorrect. Yet apparently I'm the one that there's something wrong with.

It's definitely bizarre. But that's what happens when one doesn't have facts on their side. One has to resort to insults.

I have an additional universal idea. How about a universal transportation system? Wanna know how it works? Easy. I force everybody to buy a car! That was easy.

You already have that. Almost all of the roads, bridges, and freeways are free for everyone to use, as opposed to having private toll roads everywhere. And everyone is already forced to pay a share.

Perhaps you should stick to telling us how tolerant of religious freedoms Hamas is. ;)

Perhaps you should develop some type of sense of humour, and realize when someone is joking. If this is not a universal insurance system, then it isn't universal healthcare. If it is universal insurance, it is.

You mean like public transit and roads? Guess we do have a Universal Transportation System. (Which is what I am calling it from now on :D )

Oh give me a break. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You routinely insult others, and just as routinely screw up your facts, takes things out of context, and so on.

opps! My mistake. Thought you were directing that at me.

Ok, I have one last universal idea. How about a universal food system? Wanna know how it works? I force everybody to buy groceries every week. Wow, this stuff is pretty easy. I guess I could be President. All you have to do is force people to buy certain goods or services, and problems solved!

I just eliminated hunger in society!

I don't think Shady's concerns here are of race, nor of penises.

Surely we can disagree with one another, vociferously, fundamentally--even angrily at times--without assuming some terrible personal characteristics.

No...

Our concerns for Shady are of a more psychiatric nature....

Once again, when you don't have facts on your side, you resort to insults.

Why post on whether the health care mandate is a tax or not when you can instead, call people names. I guess it's what small minds do, huh?

Like I said. Why post about whether or not the mandate is a tax. Just call people names. That might take some effort, oh, and intelligence.

Seems to me that Obama just says what he thinks people want to hear, regardless of the contradictory statements that he continually puts out. People are becoming quite aware of it, as we see many headlines and articles quoting, Obama wants it both ways. At least George Bush had the guts to say what he really thought, whether you agree or not.

I disagree wholeheartedly about Bush, who was a monumental liar of the first order. Remember Iraq? Bush's stupidity is a myth--he is at least of average intelligence--so he knew he was lying left and right.

Further, his straight-shooting, speak-from-the-gut persona was carefully crafted by his handlers--who are, after all, Public Relations experts, and generally are very good at this sort of marketing. (See: Obama's campaign, for evidence of effectiveness; same types of industry experts at play.)

So we got the spectacle of this New England educated Aristocrat, G.W. Bush, scion of an old family powerfully connected to a hereditary Business-Political nexus for generations...being turned into one of the "common folk," who sopke only what was in his heart. :)

If that were truly the case, he could never, ever have become President.

However...I agree with you about Obama. He's not trustworthy.

Not saying Bush always told he truth, and there's no way any such a leader could, as being a good liar is essential to the job. Hence the reason Obama is so loved by his deluded followers.

When Bush said, we're gonna get you, he was being honest. "Bring it on...", "You're either with us, or your with the Terrorists..." underscores the truth of his attitude and intentions, something I don't think Obama would ever do.

"We are comitted to helping our friends, the Pakis..." When Bush made a faux pas, he stood by it. He rarely backpedalled on what he said.

OK, I think I get your meaning now.

And yes, Obama is in the process of alienating everyone who is not going to reflexively love him no matter what. (say, 25% or whatever.) The right wing is dead wrong to call him a "socialist," when he is a committed capitalist; but people are correct not to trust his word.

I've been looking for a scintilla of intelligence from you for a long time...

Little,to none,is forthcoming...

Hence, you you get what you pay for...

As per usual, your longwinded non answer is very telling...
