Shady Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 This is apparently typical behavior now, because there seems to be a pattern forming. Whether it's Dem congressmen, or Dem supporters. Quote
Bonam Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 This is apparently typical behavior now, because there seems to be a pattern forming. Whether it's Dem congressmen, or Dem supporters. Umm... I just watched the video, I don't see any assaulting. Or do you mean the guy trying to block the camera? Quote
bloodyminded Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 If this is an "assault," then the "victim" must be pretty delicate indeed. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings
Shady Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Pushing and shoving IS assault. It's the law. If this is an "assault," then the "victim" must be pretty delicate indeed. Unless of course that guy was a cop doing the same thing to a G20 protestor. Then you'd be outraged. Outraged I tells ya! Quote
bloodyminded Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) Unless of course that guy was a cop doing the same thing to a G20 protestor. Then you'd be outraged. Outraged I tells ya! First of all, I'm not even sure what the guy did...except that it made the camera veer. Second, what a cop does to a citizen is far more important than what a citizen does to a citizen. Shady Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Second, what a cop does to a citizen is far more important than what a citizen does to a citizen. I see. So equal treatment under the law is a foreign concept to you. I should have known. Especially when it comes to citizen on citizen law breaking. Especially if one of the citizens is Black. Then they're allowed to break certain laws. Right? Just for future threads and in an effort to save time, what crimes committed by what races in what situations are tolerable to you? Just wondering. Can you decode this for us? As for "equal treatment under the law"...that's not relevant to my point. My point was that, if you are right about this situation (that is, for the sake of argument), if a police officer came up to me on the street and pushed me, that is far more serious than if you came up and pushed me. Because they have power and authority, that constitutes an abuse of their authority, and is thus more serious. That's not even a controversial view...except to you. Mr.Canada Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) This reminds me of the assault by Jack Layton during the Gold Medal game of the 2010 Olympics where he pushed a woman to get his mug in the shot at Gretzky's. cena2020 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 an exceptional blogger, frequently videotapes anti-Israeli demonstrations here in Toronto. This morning, he taped footage of a demonstration against Benyamin Netanyahu’s visit to the city. The demo was co-sponsored by taxpayer funded, virulently anti-semitic Palestine House. While filming a public demonstration on a public sidewalk, he was approached by Ali Mallah -- the Vice President of the Canadian Arab Federation, and high ranking member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)/Canadian Labour Congress. Mallah recognized him, crossed the street, and verbally and physically assaulted him. Arnie was unhurt. Bridal Lingerie leather lingerie Quote
