Oleg Bach Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 The PM is sticking to a tacit policy of tolerance and protection of the dis-honourable who tack on the title of honourable when they take office. What do you expect..judges that run the courts protect evil - because evil generates income and they are addicted to it..there is not much to be expected from a PM that in effect is appointed by the banks..who also have friends in a corrupt judicary - that loves to release crimminals in order to harrass and control the good population - good people are a threat to the powers that be. Topaz Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 There's not much out there as yet but I did find this article and while reading were the money went to the first thing I thought of was money for terrorists. Could Harper have a former terrorists supplier in his cabinet? Not saying he is, after all he is innocent until proven guilty. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2010/05/06/shory-clients.html Quote

ZenOps Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Why would the PM punish Shory? Thats not the PM's job. Its a job for the criminal courts to determine guilt or innocence. If anything - I see it more like a coach and the team. You can only blame the players so much, even when they do stupid things and make bad plays, eventually though - you do have to lay some blame on the coach. In which case the PM should be punished if Shory is found guilty. Edited May 15, 2010 by ZenOps Quote
Oleg Bach Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 At the court of appeal I saw a former employee of a major AMERICAN corporation that had some information about Dick Cheney being involved in some questionable actions. Our courts were extraditing the poor guy - he was terrified ..what makes you think that our courts do not have a tacit policy of assisting crimminality at the highest and most respected level? Quote

Guergis, gets kicked from cabinet(rightly so), then from caucus(why?), then from the party on what evidence?.. none says the PI who investigated her...and who did all the kicking? ya that's right, the PM...now we have a cabinet minister under criminal investigation and he still holds his cabinet position when at the very least the PM should ask him to step away from the job until he is cleared of wrong doing... there is more going on here then PM would have us believe.... Oleg Bach Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 The publicly percieve integrity of government must be up held at all cost. To bring government in to ill repute by policy is a mistake - once confidence is lost in government - people will with hold their taxes - and that means governmental pay cheaques will eventually end. GOVERNMENT has no power without law enforcement and law enforcement will NOT turn on the people to enforce corruption - cops are also citizens. Quote
August1991 Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Tell that to Helena. For the 20% or so of English Canadians who hate Harper, he's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't.Harper has a reputation for standing by his caucus/ministers well beyond what seems reasonable or even politically wise. I think he kicked Guergis out of cabinet and caucus because of A) strong suspicion of wrongdoing and/or caucus members wanting him to do it. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 No one hates Harper. Why would they bother? To hate Harper is to empower him and that is what he wants..He is very old school in his approach of using emotionalism to befuddle the public and gain some sort of control over them - Once you hate - they own you> Quote

In which case the PM should be punished if Shory is found guilty. You should read the story first. Shory has not been charged with anything criminal. He is being sued by one of the big Banks - along with about 100 other people.....for something that allegedly occurred two years before he became an MP. In case you didn't know it - a lawsuit is conducted in civil court - not a criminal court. Big Banks don't like to lose their money and they have enough lawyers and money to go after anyone and everyone. Quote Back to Basics
YEGmann Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 The liberal followers plainly do not get it. Shory is a victim here (kind of). The BMO is going after his lawyer's insurance to recover their own - and only their own - lack of due dilligence. Quote

This time it was not referred to the RCMP by the PMO! Quote
