M.Dancer
Still not a final tally but enough to concude that the Conservatives will form a government in a Minority (hung) parliament. The Highlights.. The LDP was expected to make huge gains and in the end actually lost 5 seats The Conservatives gained 97 seats.. The BNP made a huge gain....rising to 1.9% of the popular vote (yes I am surprised) But the big big news is..... Gorgeous George Galloway is UNEMPLOYED!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/election2010/results/
Sulaco
My, how regional that map looks. First past the post system - two party, unless regionalism is tearing a country apart. The Tories' nuclear option - let the Scots figure out if they want to spin off their ultra-welfare state.

Bonam
Nice to see Britain coming to its senses. Will be interesting to see what kind of government is formed. Precedent says Gordon Brown still gets first shot at trying to form a coalition.

nicky10013
Lib-Dems negotiations with the Conservatives have stalled. Have turned to Labour to form a coalition. Looks like Gordon Brown has offered to step down to keep Labour in power. People can say of him what they like, but it certainly looks as though he's a team player.
