Shady Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I'm not sure if anyone saw the Tim Tebow Superbowl Ad. But it was highly protested by the pro-choice feminist types for what they thought was going to be a strong message against abortion. Instead, it was s short, mildly funny, and somewhat cute ad for the Focus On The Family website. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BIOTItUwvk <--- This is the ad in question. Pretty harmless.Well, apparently the pro-choice feminist types aren't too pleased their first criticizm didn't stick. So they've decided to attack it a new way. Newest criticism of Tebow ad: It glorifies violence against womenIf you thought the debate over Tim Tebow’s Super Bowl ad was over now that it aired and turned out to be nowhere near as controversial as some thought it would be, well, you’re mistaken. Now comes word, via an L.A. Times article, that the National Organization for Women is upset with the ad because it glorifies violence against women. Link Question. Has the National Organization for Women gone the way of PETA? Or have they already been there for a while? Quote
Michael Hardner Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Question. Has the National Organization for Women gone the way of PETA? Or have they already been there for a while? Sometimes cartoony violence is funny. Organizations such as NOW and the church that pronounce on moral matters are necessarily pious. Unfortunately, piety and humour don't go well together. This is why U2 will never make a funny video, why the pope will never wear a silly pope hat for laugh, or why NOW won't be publishing a joke book anytime in the future. M.Dancer Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) NOW won't be publishing a joke book anytime in the future. If they did every story would be of Michael Hollett drunk and stoned. Edited February 10, 2010 by M.Dancer Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

Sorry, I referred to the National Organization of Women - not the Toronto weekly prostitute listings... Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
M.Dancer Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Sorry, I referred to the National Organization of Women - not the Toronto weekly prostitute listings... Same thing... Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
Michael Hardner Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Same thing... Not at all - one of those entities will decry the closure of the Giambrone campaign, and one will applaud it. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
