Romney Voter Fraud

Recommended Posts

Despite selling his only home in Massachusetts, former Gov. Mitt Romney ® voted last month in the state's Republican primary to choose a candidate for Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat using his son's address and has already mailed in a ballot for the Jan. 19 special election.

Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said despite selling his home in Belmont last year, Romney never gave up his Massachusetts residency. When he is in the state he stays with his son Tagg.

Your title is incorrect. It's not fraud. The article you cited doesn't even say it's fraud. It does, however, say this:

Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said despite selling his home in Belmont last year, Romney never gave up his Massachusetts residency.

Furthermore:

Brian McNiff, spokesman for Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin, said Romney is free to declare any residency he chooses and that it could only be invalidated through a formal complaint.

“That can be challenged at the polls,” McNiff said. “The residency is not cut and dried, if that’s where he says he lives.” link

So again, your title and accusation are false.

Good catch AW. Unfortunately punked gets all of his news from ultra-partisan places, like Talking Points Memo, which he then posts here as hard news.

Maybe because it wins such awards in Journalism such has the Polk award it won in 2007. I know it is hard to believe when you tell the truth it is call journalism but it is.

Wow. A leftwing award group giving awards to leftwing news organizations. Big deal.

So where in your award winning source does it say that Romney committed voter fraud? You do realize the readers' comments don't count, right? <_<

It doesn't but if the Reight gets to yell about Acorn Voter Fraud with no proof what so ever, the Left gets to yell about it with proof.

It's not a matter of "proof" or "no proof," it's a matter of being outright totally and completely false. If you wish to post false accusations/information, don't claim to be speaking for "the Left," because you're not.

But it isn't outright false. You are an expert on Mass residence laws now I see? He has no home there, pays his taxes mostly in NH and yet votes in Mass?

While I'm not an expert on Mass. residence laws, I think it's safe to assume that Brian McNiff, spokesman for Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin, is. And I repeat:

Brian McNiff, spokesman for Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin, said Romney is free to declare any residency he chooses and that it could only be invalidated through a formal complaint.

Furthermore, as your source states, Romney never gave up his Massachusetts residency; it goes on to clearly say that he made an offer on a condo in Belmont, Massachusetts, and that sale closes in March.

If it were voter fraud, your source would have said so. The media would be all over it.

I repeat. You are making a false claim/statement.

Um, Acorn has been indicted in several states for actual voter fraud, and real proof. In some instances they've already been found guilty. So your laughable comparison to Romney is more than ridiculous. It makes you look foolish and petty.

American Woman is right. You're making a false accusation. You're nothing but a smear merchant. However, the funniest part was when you accused American Woman of not being an expert of Massachusetts residence law. Like you are!?

Yes shady several states, please name them and the specifics of the case. You mean the one indictment for voter REGISTRATION fraud in NV? Which the Nevada Attorney General went out of their way to point isn't voter fraud and which the case is still pending?
